“And He made from one man (Adam) every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation” (Acts 17:26).
We are learning in the Light of the Lambs Children’s Ministry that there is one race, the human race. And because we are all the offspring of Adam and Eve, we are sinners by birth and choice. We all need to be born-again by putting our faith in the one Savior Jesus Christ, and His sacrificial death and victorious resurrection.
The heart of God for the world is that ALL would come to repentance (turn from sin, and turn to Jesus Christ; 2 Peter 3:9), and that His disciples should “Go into ALL the world and preach the good news to EVERY creature.” (Mark 16:15, emphasis added) We also see that a remnant from every people group on earth will be in heaven worshipping the LORD. “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation”. (Revelation 5:9)
When we see what the heart of God is for ALL the world to be saved, we are encouraged to see people the way God sees them, “The LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) God’s word promotes unity among us; we are all the same, despite differences in skin color. The Human Genome Project study results verifies the biblical account of creation; that we all descend from Adam and Eve, that there is one race. It is interesting to note that these very noticeable differences in skin color are only a small fraction of genetic difference.
In contrast to the biblical worldview, the secular worldview based on Darwinian evolution can clearly be seen in any Holocaust museum, from Washington D.C. to Jerusalem, Israel. The Nazis classified every ethnic group on the earth, and came to the evil Satanic conclusion that the Jewish people, and others such as black African people groups, were sub-human and not as evolved as the German and Nordic people groups. Many people make the false argument that religion has killed more people than anything else, but just look at the death toll from anti-God communist and socialist dictators that comes from a secular worldview based on evolution: Adolf Hitler (17 million deaths), Jozef Stalin (23 million deaths), and Mao Zedong (49-78 million deaths).
Jesus warned us of signs of the end of the age and two signs stand out in regards to racism. One sign is that “nation would rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” (Matthew 24:7). The word in the Greek for nation is ethnos, meaning ethnic hatred. Ethnic hatred isn’t only based on skin color; it can also be two groups that don’t get along like the Hutu and Tutsi tribes in Rwanda. This type of conflict of racism and ethnic cleansing will increase before the return of Christ, and is a sign to us that He is returning.
A more important sign, which Jesus mentioned four times more than the signs of wars, ethnic fighting, earthquakes, and famines, is DECEPTION. Don’t be deceived! Today in the church some believers are being deceived into following after the world’s answer to issues of racism by joining the Social Justice Movement, or Liberation theology. The Marxist Ideals of the Social Justice movement are creeping into the church. The anti-Christ philosophy of Marxism and Communism based on a Darwinian evolutionary worldview has no place in the body of Christ! Racism is a problem, but the answer isn’t the Social Justice movement. The answer to the sin of racism is a heart change through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Preach the good news of the love of JESUS, and not social justice that CAN NOT change the sinful heart of man. Jesus is definitely returning soon! We are one race, one blood, and we all need two births!
