This month we are highlighting some of the ministries and outreaches of Koinonia Fellowship. As you watch these inspiring videos, ask the Lord where He would have you to serve the body of Christ. For more information on how to get plugged in, contact the church office.
Care Group
The Care Group Ministry of Koinonia Fellowship consists of mature Christians who can discreetly serve many needs that come before our pastors.
We are seeking volunteers to visit people in hospitals, drop off flowers, mail notes of encouragement, attend funerals, make phone calls, do small home repairs and transport people to appointments.
Nursing Home Ministry
The Nursing Home Ministry of Koinonia Fellowship leads worship services at eight locations in Rochester and the east side of Monroe County.
We are seeking volunteers who are gifted in:
- Personal friendship and encouragement
- Worshiping and praising the Lord together
- Praying with residents
- Teaching the Word of God
International Student Network
ISN is a group of people from area churches that build bridges of friendship with international students. Through ISN programs students receive help with their practical and spiritual needs at the major universities and colleges in the Rochester area.
We are seeking volunteers to participate in group events, have one-on-one conversations to build a student’s English language skills, host a student in their home, particularly around the holidays, and share the gospel with those who are open to hear it.
After-School Bible Club
Open Air Campaigners is an evangelistic ministry that preaches the gospel to lost people and mobilizes the body of Christ. The organization runs an After School Bible Club at area schools for kids age 7-11.
Volunteers are needed to teach Bible lessons, lead small groups, games and other activities, prepare and serve snacks, and reach into the lives of some needy kids and make a difference.
