On Saturday, August 9, 2025 Koinonia held a one-day Vacation Bible School. The Lord blessed the event and He brought the increase. In the last two weeks prior to the event, our registrations jumped from 14 to 44. Praise the Lord!
We used Lifeway’s curriculum “Magnified”, and concentrated on ways that we can magnify Jesus’ love. The story of the Woman at the Well was taught, how “God is not ok with sin but still loves sinners like me”. The story was woven throughout the day within the craft, games, and snack rotations.
We had a skit and a wonderful gospel-led bible teaching. The kids learned the words and motions to two great songs, one about seeing God in the small things around us and a another gospel-themed song. During our missions rotation, the kids got to decorate labels to put on food so we could give it to the East Rochester Resource Center, together with a gospel tract.
A huge shout out to each of our amazing 45 volunteers who helped out during the day, as well as the many others who prayed and helped in different roles throughout the planning process.
Many children attended from other churches, and some came from the surrounding neighborhood. Please join us in praying that the word of our Savior and His love for each child that was taught will take hold in their hearts and lead to a saving faith in Him.
I will be reaching out to families to invite them to Sunday service and some of the upcoming events we are having in the near future.
