Dylan Ocorr and I are leaving for the Holy Land on March 8 to lay the groundwork for a church service trip next year! The Lord has opened many doors for us across the country, and we are forming relationships that we pray will be fruitful now and in the future.
Just this week we have video calls with Michael Beener in Sderot, Brose Bates at Calvary Chapel Tel Aviv, and Majdoleen Nawatha of Nazareth Trust, to continue planning our activities at their ministry sites.
These calls have really helped us get to know each other and will make it possible to “hit the ground running” and maximize our time serving the Lord in Israel.
If you want to pray with us throughout our trip, we will be sending periodic updates with reports of our visits and prayer requests from the ministries. To get on the mailing list, send an email to info@koinoniafellowship.com.
Today our prayer request is that God would order our thoughts as we pack and make final preparations to go, and for traveling mercies on the way.
Pray also that God would continue to provide for this mission to Israel. Thanks to your generosity we are getting close to meeting our travel expenses, but we continue to pray for an abundance that we will use to bless the ministries we visit.
Jesus said, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you”. Luke 6:38
Dylan and I have visited pastors in India who minister to the poor in areas where the people feel forsaken. The ministries we will be working alongside in Israel – Shevet Achim, City of Life, Shepherd’s Light, Nazareth Trust, and Houses of Healing – share the same mission and heart for the needy and oppressed.
Brose from Calvary Chapel Tel Aviv told us yesterday on a call what a great encouragement it will be to the workers there just to see people come all the way from America to help.
Stand with us in prayer as fellow laborers in this work. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity are not small things, they are the core of the ministry itself. We go carrying not just our own hearts, but yours as well.
Thank you for sending us, supporting us, and believing with us that God will use this journey for His glory.
