We need your help!

As we prepare for VBS this August (see below for details of the event), we are looking for volunteers who are passionate about sharing God’s love with kids.

Next Volunteer Meeting

Thursday, April 3 at 6:00 PM in the Agape Hall.

We’ll pray, study John 4:1-42 together, and discuss how each of us can serve. We’re excited to get everyone plugged in and ready to make this a life-changing day for the kids.

If you already know where you’d like to serve, or if you have any questions, please contact Lynna at ldonnor@koinoniafellowship.com in advance of the meeting.

Below are the key areas where you can serve:

  • Rotation Leaders – Guide children from station to station.
  • Bible Study Teachers – Lead age-appropriate Bible lessons from John 4:1-42.
  • Craft Leaders – Teach kids how to make crafts related to the lesson.
  • Snack Leaders – Prepare and explain snacks that tie into the Bible story.
  • Missions Leaders – Teach children about global missions and help with decorating donation labels.
  • Music Leaders – Lead children in singing and using instruments in fun, interactive ways.
  • Games Leaders – Organize games that tie back to the Bible story.
  • Bounce House Leaders – Supervise kids in the bounce house for safe fun.
  • Kitchen Helpers – Help set up, serve, and clean up lunch.
  • Security/First Aid – Provide safety and first aid support.
  • Check-In/Registration Team – Welcome families, check in kids, and follow up afterward.
  • Decoration Team – Help transform the church into a vibrant VBS setting.

We’re praying that this VBS will plant seeds of faith in children’s hearts and lead them to a deeper understanding of God’s love. We can’t wait to see how God will move through this event!

 

Koinonia VBS

Time: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Location: Koinonia Fellowship, 500 Main Street East Rochester, NY 14445

Theme: Magnify God’s Love
This year, we’re diving into the powerful story of the Woman at the Well (John 4:1-42) to show that while God is not okay with sin, His love for us is greater than any sin we could ever commit. Through this lesson, children will discover the profound truth that Jesus offers living water and eternal life to everyone, no matter their past.

Whether your child is hearing the gospel for the first time or has grown up in church, this VBS will help them understand just how much Jesus loves them and how they can share that love with others.

What’s Happening at VBS:

Throughout the day, children will rotate through engaging stations that each tie back to the Bible lesson and help them experience God’s love in creative ways. Our stations include:

  • Bible Study: Learn about the Woman at the Well and Jesus’ message of love and salvation.
  • Crafts: Create a craft that connects with the Bible story and reminds kids of Jesus’ love.
  • Music: Sing fun songs and use instruments to praise God and reflect on the day’s lesson.
  • Games & Activities: Play exciting games that reinforce the Bible story and encourage teamwork.
  • Snack: Enjoy a snack while hearing how it connects to Jesus’ message of love.
  • Missions: Watch a video about missions, then decorate labels for donations to help others in need.
  • Bounce House: Have fun in the bounce house!
