UPDATE: "Hannah" (teenager overwhelmed by the news of her pregnancy) has been pressured by the baby's father to get an abortion. At her first appointment, she responded to the gospel by surrendering her life to Christ. She told her nurse she felt the right thing to do is to continue the pregnancy, although she was afraid to tell her mom and stand up to her boyfriend. Hannah's boyfriend drove her to the appointment but did not come in for the ultrasound. When Hannah saw her baby again, she said she wanted to continue the pregnancy. Hannah still has not told her mother about the pregnancy, but she has told her sister who is planning to support her in raising her child. Praise God for His intervention in Hannah's life! Pray He empowers her to remain firm in her commitment to continuing her pregnancy and this baby continues to grow and develop under His protection.

Please pray for a resident at Parkside who had requested prayer for a closer walk with the Lord, greater devotion to Him, and better mental focus on the goodness of God and things above. ------ Please pray for Michael's friend, who is in law enforcement and was twice taken to the hospital over the weekend with serious breathing issues. (He and his family have COVID.) He recently prayed to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. ------ UPDATES: Richard B. reportedly had a successful surgery on his broken femur and is recovering. Pray for the Lord's peace, protection, and healing upon him. ------- Linda W.'s regiment of chemo treatment is likely to continue, depending on her next blood test scheduled for November 16. At that time she has an appointment with her oncologist. It's been a difficult road thus far; however Linda & Jerry are abiding in the Lord and walking by faith. They are most grateful for all the prayers coming their way! ------- Mike Grabowski continues to wait for the surgery he needs which was previously postponed. His leg prosthetic fitting two weeks ago did not work out well, as it needed to be redesigned for more comfort. Despite these setbacks Mike remains hopeful for he knows the Lord is with him. ------- Rick J. (liver failure) came to Saturday morning prayer and was anointed with oil. We prayed to the LORD for a blessing and God's healing, strength, comfort and peace. We prayed for his two daughters to come to faith in Christ. ------ Let’s continue to pray for all these dear saints!

"Reanne" is in her late thirties and has no children. She was certain she needs to get an abortion, but was not interested in discussing her reasons. Reanne did tell her nurse the father of the baby wants her to continue the pregnancy. Her ultrasound exam revealed a six-week-old baby with a heartbeat. Her nurse asked her to consider the information she received and make a follow-up appointment. Reanne declined to do so but agreed to having her nurse follow-up by phone. Please pray Reanne's heart is softened towards her preborn baby. Pray this child's life is spared from abortion. ------- "Diana" is a nursing student in her mid-twenties and is considering abortion. She told her nurse she does not want to be derailed from her accelerated degree program and career plans. The father of the baby is supportive of her getting an abortion. When discussing her pregnancy history, Diana said she had a chemical abortion a couple of years ago. She described the experience as painful and traumatic. After seeing her seven-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen, she expressed amazement and said she hadn't expected to see a heartbeat. She then asked for information on abortion procedures, explaining, "I'm trying to process this logically, not emotionally." After hearing the gospel message and being invited to surrender her life to Christ, Diana said, "I would like to say 'yes,' but I have said 'yes' so many times before. I believe." Pray Diana draws near to God and He draws near to her. Thank God for giving this preborn baby the opportunity to be seen and known by his mother. Pray he is spared from abortion.

Good morning, I really need prayers right now. Things have been not good in awhile. I have been out of work for a while because of health reasons and I have no income and have been struggling financially. Now today my granddaughter Riley has a 102 temperature and with this horrible disease she has can progress her disease. Lilly passed from the progression of this disease and I’m so nervous and scared. Please pray for her and help me find peace and faith. I don’t know if I can handle this anymore.

"Sharon" has come to CompassCare for three visits. At her most recent appointment, she reported still having "mixed feelings" about continuing her pregnancy. Because of her mental health struggles she feels it would be "selfish to bring a baby into [her] stressful situation." She also explained she wants children someday, but not before she has a successful career. The father of the baby and her sister have expressed support for her to continue her pregnancy. During the ultrasound, Sharon smiled at her fourteen-week-old baby actively moving on the screen. She decided to surrender her life to Christ when her nurse shared the gospel with her and agreed to get in touch with a MotherCare mentor. Pray Sharon's life, heart and mind are transformed by her new relationship with Christ. Pray she resolves to continue her pregnancy and connect with a mature Christian mentor through MotherCare. -------- UPDATES: "Hailey", who is working towards a college degree and feels now is a bad time to be pregnant, had declined an ultrasound exam at her first appointment due to the early stage of her pregnancy. When she returned for a second appointment, Hailey said she feels firm on her decision to get an abortion. After the ultrasound exam however, she said she feels conflicted and wants to talk more with the father of the baby. She agreed to have her nurse follow-up with her in the next few days. Pray Hailey is convicted of the truth about abortion. Pray she decides against taking the life of her child and resolves to continue her pregnancy. -------- "Sky" returned for a second appointment still undecided about continuing her pregnancy or getting an abortion. She told her nurse about the stressful week she had. In addition to having a minor car accident, she ended her relationship with the father of the baby and he moved out. (The father & his family were in favor of the pregancy.) Sky said she is feeling anxious and hasn't been sleeping. She agreed to schedule another follow-up appointment. Please pray the seeds of the gospel planted in Sky's heart take root and grow. Pray she turns to the Lord for salvation and guidance and this baby's life is spared from abortion.

My son overdosed on heroin but received a lifesaving dose of Narcan shortly after his collapse. He was rushed to ER and his condition is currently stable. Please pray for his recovery and salvation. Thank you saints.

(11/2): Please pray for Andy, who is in a Buffalo area hospital ICU with multiple fractures and internal injuries as the result of a bad fall last week. Pray for recovery and healing, comfort and peace, and for his salvation. ------- Pray for Bob & Judy B. who recently moved into a senior home community and are trying to adjust. --------- Pray for the Lord's anointing, empowering, and protection for Matt K., who goes witnessing for the Lord after work several evenings a week. -------- PRAISE REPORTS: Tania B's knee surgery last week was successful and, Praise the Lord, she is doing so much better now! ------- Maureen's son Eric is also doing much better, Praise God, and they expect his release from the hospital this week. Maureen so appreciates all the prayers and anticipates the Lord will bring His healing, comfort and peace to Eric. -------- Steve Hollis is now walking up and down his driveway using his walker as he continues to make wonderful progress, especially with improved mobility. He and wife Julie are praising God and are very grateful for the prayers for his continued recovery from Covid and the resulting coma and prolonged hospitalizations. -------- UPDATES: Please continue to pray for Rick J., who is grateful for the procedures which alleviate some of the discomfort he's experiencing with his failing liver condition. He asks prayer for the salvation of his two daughters. -------- Linda W. has begun her second major round of chemo to control the spread of cancer, and there are major, very difficult side effects. Linda and husband Jerry are walking by faith, knowing the LORD their God is with them, giving her strength and courage to keep on. -------- Let's continue lifting up Roseann B. before the Lord in prayer, for she has been through a most difficult and trying time this year with the passing of her beloved husband and now dealing with back problems.
