"Catherine" is a woman in her late twenties who came to CompassCare saying she has to get an abortion. She lost a toddler son several years ago to a genetic disease. There is a significant chance any child of hers could have the same disease. Catherine explained that she went through genetic testing with her last baby (now a healthy, normal infant) but cannot endure the uncertainty again. The father of the baby supports her decision to get an abortion. Her ultrasound exam revealed an eight-week-old baby. Catherine said she doesn't really want to get an abortion but has made up her mind that it is for the best. She would not elaborate on her thoughts or feelings, but she did ask for a printed picture. When her nurse shared the gospel with her, she said she practices Hinduism and was not interested in surrendering her life to Christ. Please pray Catherine's heart is healed and changed by Christ Himself. Pray she does not take matters into her own hands by aborting her child out of fear. -------- UPDATE: "Trisha" is still wrestling with her decision to get an abortion or continue her pregnancy. For her, it is a matter of letting go of her imagined ideal future. At her return appointment, the father of the baby was present. He said he is happy about the pregnancy and laughed when he heard the fetal heartbeat. Trisha praised him to her nurse, saying he is a good father to his teenage daughter. She also said her mother and best friend have expressed support for her continuing the pregnancy. She plans to return for a third appointment. Pray Trisha receives a vision for her future which includes her baby. Pray she continues to grow in her new relationship with Christ and this baby is protected from abortion.

Hailey is in school working towards her degree and feels now is bad timing to begin raising a child. Initially, the father of the baby wanted her to carry to term, but came to agree with her that this is bad timing. Due to being in the first weeks of her pregnancy, Hailey declined having an ultrasound. She agreed to making a second appointment and getting an ultrasound then. When her nurse talked with her about God, Hailey said she has had a bad experience with Christianity. However, she allowed her nurse to pray over her life and situation. Please pray Hailey's heart is softened towards Christ and her preborn baby. Pray she puts her trust in God and welcomes the gift of her child.

Please also pray for Hannah, a teenager who came to CompassCare feeling overwhelmed. The father of the baby is pushing her to get an abortion, but she feels conflicted about the idea. She has not told her mom about the pregnancy yet. Hannah's ultrasound exam revealed an eight-week-old baby. She was engaged and interested as she watched him on he screen. The father of the baby was present for the ultrasound. After he left the room, Hannah said she feels in her heart she should continue the pregnancy but she's afraid to tell her mom. She became quite emotional and started crying. When her nurse shared the gospel with her, Hannah surrendered her life to Christ. She scheduled a return appointment to talk more about standing up to the father of the baby and breaking the news to her mom. Please pray Hannah's new relationship with Christ fuels her with confidence and courage. Pray she remains strong in her commitment to carry her baby to term and she receives support from her family.

Pray for my brother George who is struggling with manic depression. Pray also for God to provide income for him as he is disabled because of his condition. Also pray for me that my insurance will provide the medicine that my cardiologist says I need. I pray God heals me. As for the medicine the insurance company does not want to pay for such a expensive drug. God will fight for all who are on the prayer chain.
