"Lydia" came to CompassCare for a second appointment. She told her nurse she thinks abortion is the best choice for her, primarily because the father of the baby is emotionally abusive. She had been planning to move out, "find herself," and start over when she found out she is pregnant. When she confided in her mother, she said she would support any choice she makes. When discussing abortion, however, she became tearful and said, "It's selfish of me." She said she's been looking up fetal development information online and decided she would like to see another ultrasound. Afterward, she said she would like to have a little girl. Lydia agreed to take more time to make her decision and booked another appointment. She listened as her nurse shared the gospel and allowed her nurse to pray for her situation. Please pray Lydia would have the courage to continue her pregnancy and God lights a way to peace in her life. ------- "Taylor" came to CompassCare with her infant in tow. She said she must get an abortion and had a notably flat affect. After seeing the ultrasound, Taylor had no observable reaction. Viability could not be confirmed, so she scheduled a return appointment. She had no response to hearing the gospel. Pray for Taylor and both of her children. Pray God breaks into her life in a transformative way at this crucial crossroads.

UPDATE: Aunt Carol remains in ICU in guarded condition, and she is still unable to move much on her own, other than her thumbs and shrugging her shoulder. She opens her eyes and tries to communicate, but it's very difficult to understand with her having a tracheostomy. Please continue to pray that she pulls through this. Also prayers for the Lord's peace, grace, and strength for her and her family as they endure this difficult time are much appreciated. Thank you so much!

They are praising the Lord for His recovery and amazing grace for Roger. They asked for prayers for wisdom and guidance from above to know the right time for Roger to return to normal activities. ------- Bonnie C. talked directly with her great grandson {Maclaine} recently and said he and his fellow U.S. service personnel are all okay. He may be in Poland/Europe for at least 6 months. ------- Marsha reports she has been sleeping better lately and is grateful to the Lord for that, and also for the blessing the Tuesday evening prayer group has been to her.

"Dawn" is in her early twenties, just starting out in her career. She has not told the father of the baby about the pregnancy, although she is confident he would support any decision she makes regarding abortion. "I'm not ready to have children," she said. The sight of her baby on the ultrasound screen brought tears to Dawns eyes. She decided to make a return appointment and will consider bringing the father of the baby with her. She was glad to know about supports such as MotherCare. Although she listened politely to the gospel, she declined the invitation to surrendering her life to Christ. Pray Dawn turns to Christ for strength and wisdom at this crossroads and she and the father of the baby decide to protect the life of their child.

UPDATE on Linda W: She reportedly has been having a great deal of pain and spent Saturday at an Emergency Department. She saw her Primary today and was told they believe the cause is her gall bladder. She was prescribed pain medication and more testing is planned. The good news was that Saturday's scan showed no noticeable growth in her tumors, in spite of not having treatment for nearly two months now. PTL! Please continue to pray for wisdom for her doctors and for God's healing touch upon Linda.

"Kim" came to CompassCare saying she needs to get an abortion. She said her life situation is not fit for parenting a child. She seemed conflicted, however, saying she knows how God feels about abortion, which makes her decision more difficult. She also said the father of the baby wants her to continue the pregnancy. The ultrasound exam revealed she is almost in her second trimester. She allowed her nurse to pray for her during the appointment and then asked for more prayer before she left. Pray Kim's conscience is fully convicted of the sin of abortion and she has the confidence to carry her pregnancy to term.

From CompassCare: "Mae" is in her mid-twenties and works two jobs. She had an abortion appointment scheduled before coming in to CompassCare. She and the father of the baby agree on their decision to abort, but Mae has not shared the news of the pregnancy with her parents. After seeing her seven-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen, Mae said she felt guilty considering abortion. When asked why, she explained her parents had her as teenagers and made many sacrifices to build a good life for her. She expected they would encourage her to keep her baby, but would also support her getting an abortion. When presented with the gospel, Mae said she does not believe in God. Mae did not show for her return appointment several days later and has not been responsive to contact from her nurse. Pray God uses this moment in Mae's life as a crossroads of grace and His will is done in her life and the life of her child. ------ "Carla" came to CompassCare saying she needs to get an abortion because she is already raising four children and was poised to reboot her education and forge a new career path when she found out she is pregnant again. She has not told the father of the baby about the pregnancy, but her sister knows and says she will support whatever she chooses. Viability could not be confirmed during the ultrasound exam, so Carla plans to return for another appointment. "I thought abortion was always wrong, but now I have an unplanned pregnancy." She said she would think about how to fit a baby into her life. Pray Carla decides to trust God with her future and welcomes this child into her life.
