CompassCare
A total of 25 patients were seen this week in the three NY regional facilities (Buffalo, Rochester, Capital). Please pray these women choose life for their unborn children and seek eternal life through Jesus Christ. Pray for the Lord's continued anointing upon and protection for the nurses and support staff who serve at all the pro-life pregnancy centers in New York. -------- "Alyssa" returned to CompassCare for a second appointment. Her boyfriend, the father of the baby, came with her and stayed in the room for the ultrasound exam. He said he wants her to continue the pregnancy so they can parent the child together, but will support her getting an abortion if she decides to do so. Alyssa said she plans to get an abortion because now is not the right time to start raising a child. Alyssa and her boyfriend go to church together, but Alyssa was not interested in surrendering her life to Christ when the gospel was presented. Pray her heart is moved with compassion for her child and she has the confidence to carry her pregnancy to term.

My friend Marcia is having surgery Monday, August 1st for a very complicated procedure on her ankle. She lives alone, has epilepsy, and is on new medicine for it. It's a difficult situation. She will need an aide but not sure of the chance she'll get one in time being she's on Government assistance. She's a believer. Please pray for the procedure to be successful without any complications, that the Lord will provide for all her needs through her recovery time, and that her church she just started attending would be willing to assist her where possible. Thank you so much!

Update: Thank you for your prayers I really appreciate them.Unfortunately the situation ended horrible and I still pray for RPD and all of the officers that they will have protection. I pray for our city and our nation because there is a war out there. We know Gods in charge and he will end this in his time. Thank you again and I appreciate all your prayers.

A total of 33 clients were served at the three CompassCare locations this week. Please pray for these ladies and their unborn babies, as well as for the nurses who will be serving the women and sharing the Gospel with the clients scheduled next week. -------- CompassCare’s firebombed Buffalo medical office is nearing the 52-day rebuild goal of July 29! Please pray for the remaining materials to arrive on schedule and for all the workers as they complete the rebuild in preparation for relocating patient services back to CompassCare's home facility. Pray that the Church in Buffalo is encouraged at the Grand Reopening Celebration on Saturday, July 30, and pray for the Buffalo office expansion effort, preparing to serve 30% more patients traveling to NY for their abortions. -------- "Jamilia" came to CompassCare to confirm the viability of her pregnancy. She has had several previous abortions and said she believes strongly in a woman's right to choose but also expressed deep regret about her abortions. While she doesn't feel confident about motherhood, she said she is more settled and prepared for raising a child now than she was in the past. She is not sure if she will continue her pregnancy or abort again. When she heard the gospel, Jamilia said she has been thinking about her relationship with Jesus and agreed we are all sinners in need of forgiveness. She was glad to hear Christ can cover our sins through His sacrifice on the cross but was not willing to submit her life to Christ when invited. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to guide Jamilia and for God to protect this preborn baby.

Please pray for my RPD family! We lost one of our own last night in the line of duty. A cowardless act that was performed. Thank God my son was not working that shift last night. We are all heartbroken. Please pray for his family and also they find this person before anyone else is hurt.

Please pray for my former boss's wife Waverly. She has been very ill for a number of years with a number of different issues. She is in dire need of a kidney transplant and they found one for her! The surgery is on August 2nd. Pray that everything goes as planned as far as the testing, scheduling and actual surgery. Pray also that both will realize that they need Jesus.

Steve & Carolyn M. recently had a fire in their home, but they are praising the Lord because they and their pets all escaped without harm, are staying with a relative while their home is being repaired, and are witnessing many blessings from God through this. ------- Steve Hollis, who continues to rejoice in his recovery from near death and long term hospitalization, requests prayer that his "deep wound" would heal without needing surgery. ------- Ann Cristo asks for prayer for a painful lump on her arm. (Scheduling an ultrasound before seeing MD in August.) ------- UPDATES: Please continue to pray for Linda Weckelman, who is having a very difficult time with pain, discomfort and discouragement. (Cancer treatments no longer seem to be helping.) She and husband Gerry continue trusting, hoping and waiting on the Lord. ------- Mike Grabowski said the rehabilitation at his current location will not begin again for months. However, he is praising God because he has learned that he qualifies for assistance and equipment from the VA, including a wheelchair ramp at his home, a motorized scooter, a home ceiling trolley set-up for upright mobility/support, and VA physician tele-conference visits, with his first one today (July 20). Thank You, Lord!!!
