PRAISE REPORT on Marilou Besanceney: After more than a month in the hospital, including emergency abdominal surgery and two stretches in the ICU, she was able to return to her apartment yesterday to live on her own with her cat. Praise the Lord for His mercy and goodness! She is very grateful for your prayers, but still needs help and encouragement and support as she regains strength and stamina.

Report: The three regional offices ministered to 31 clients this week. ------- Urgent Prayer Request: "Amanda" has an abortion appointment scheduled for today. She came to CompassCare to confirm her pregnancy and learn how far along she is. She told her nurse that both she and her boyfriend feel abortion is their only option. They are young college students and do not have a vision for parenting a child together. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm and the nurse suggested Amanda had more time to consider her decision and offered her a return appointment for next week. Amanda said she would consider returning next week but may go through with the abortion appointment she has scheduled. When discussing her community support, Amanda said she attends church locally. Pray Amanda slows down and considers the weight of her decision. Pray she does not terminate her pregnancy today, and pray the seeds of the Word of God that have been planted in her heart and mind at church convict her of the truth of the value of all human life. ------- UPDATE/Praise Report: "Opal" returned for her follow-up appointment. At her last visit, she was shocked to learn she was twenty-five weeks pregnant after living in denial of her symptoms for months. Although she responded to the gospel enthusiastically and surrendered her life to Christ in prayer, she left her appointment still considering abortion. She was reeling from recently discovering that the father of the baby is married to another woman and had been deceiving her. At her follow-up appointment, Opal said she'd broken the news to her mother. Although she'd been afraid to tell her about the baby, Opal was grateful to find out her mother was supportive of her raising the child. Knowing she is alone here in New York, her mother invited her to move back home where she and the rest of the family could support her. She told her nurse she was still not sure what she would do and wanted another ultrasound done. During the second ultrasound exam, Opal said, "I feel so connected to my baby. In my spirit, I want to have this baby." She called her mother and said she's going to continue the pregnancy. Her mother immediately began celebrating and asking if she can start to inform relatives. "Yes!" Opal agreed. "I'm going to be a mom!"

Please pray for Jan. She is having dental problems, but our dentist is limited in what he can do about them. The oral surgeon's office he recommended has to have a consultation appointment first, and doesn't have one until March! Please pray for the Lord to intervene in this situation that things could be done sooner, and for His peace. Thanks so much!!
