Please continue to pray for Marilou B. She's been to the Emergency Department again because of abdominal pain and continual bleeding, but they sent her home. Her doctors don't see her, just send her to the hospital for tests, which keep revealing the same problem. They've got her on medication, but so far it hasn't helped. Please pray for Jehovah Rapha to touch her body and calm her fears. She cancelled her move.

Please pray for the Schaefer family. Tom's father's health is declining and needs prayer, and his mother, sister and autistic nephew are currently in Florida in the path of the hurricane. Please pray for all those whose lives are endangered by this powerful storm. -------- The Bagleys are settling in their new surroundings in Jordan and appreciate prayers for God's clear direction for Ben, for His blessing on Kerstin and the girls with home schooling, and that the girls would have "hearts for the Lord". -------- Michael M. continues to experience shoulder pain & weakness from a rotator cuff injury, but feels PT and daily exercises are slowly helping. He and Nancy are grateful for Koinonia and the prayers. ------- PRAISE REPORT: The Lord is opening a door of opportunity to return to Village Wood Assisted Living in October to share the gospel with the seniors there.

Please continue to pray for the Lord's healing, strength, guidance, and provision for Marilou B., who is again experiencing persistent GI distress and inability to eat with resulting weakness and weight loss. Her doctors just keep telling her to go to the hospital, but they did not treat her problem last week when she went. (They only ruled out heart trouble.) She reports she called an ambulance to go to the hospital last evening and was evaluated by the EMTs who came. They gave her some practical recommendations and encouragement so she could remain home, which she did. She is also supposed to be moving ASAP, and has people trying to help her, but she states she feels too weak and sick to move right now.

Please pray for Linda Weckelman, who started chemo treatment again last Friday (in hospital 2 days), but has been having severe side effects (vomiting) and may need to go to the hospital today again. Pray for the Lord's touch, wisdom, and strength for her.

UPDATE on Marcia: They kept postponing her interview last week to get an aide, and she fell Friday doing her dishes and had to go to the hospital for a sprained ankle (her good one!). Pray for pain control and that she can get an aide ASAP. Thank you Saints!

CompassCare
A total of 28 women were served this week at the three CompassCare locations in Rochester, Buffalo, and Albany. One of them was "Macy", who came to confirm her pregnancy and learn more about abortion. While her mother accompanied her to the appointment, her father is still unaware of Macy's pregnancy. She said her boyfriend is pressuring her to get an abortion. When she and her mother took in the sight of the developing baby on the ultrasound screen, the two shared a meaningful glance. "There is a baby in you," Macy's mother marveled. When her nurse shared the gospel, Macy eagerly responded by praying to surrender her life to Christ. She and her mother left the appointment arm in arm. Pray Macy finds strength in Christ to resist the pressure to abort. Pray she and her family embrace this new child as a gift from God. ------- "Bianna" became concerned she could be pregnant and immediately started looking for information on abortion. The local Planned Parenthood was booked so, frustrated and afraid, Brianna hoped she could get help somewhere else. After seeing an ad for CompassCare, Brianna called and scheduled a medical appointment through CompassCare's new TeleCare platform. Shortly after, she was relieved to meet face to face with one of CompassCare's nurses. Though her pregnancy test came back negative, she then told her nurse, "This pregnancy scare opened my eyes." Brianna went on to say she is a Christian and accepted Christ at a young age. After talking with her nurse about the grace available in Christ to overcome sin, repent and follow His ways, Brianna decided to recommit her life to Christ. Her nurse was able to provide her with the name of a local church, with which Brianna plans to connect. Praise God for drawing Brianna to Himself through CompassCare. Pray she continues to pursue Christ and grow spiritually.
