CompassCare
From CompassCare: 39 women and their babies were served at CompassCare last week! ---------- Prayer: "Donna" took Plan B hoping to avoid pregnancy last month. To her surprise, she began experiencing pregnancy symptoms a few weeks later. At first, she and the father of the baby were excited about raising another child. When he lost his job, however, the two began to plan an abortion. A fourth child seemed like too great a responsibility during uncertain times. "I don't want to selfishly bring another child into the world when I know we can't afford it," Donna explained. Before the ultrasound exam, Donna divulged her reluctance to get another abortion. Her last experience was traumatic. "I don't ever want to do that again," she said. After the ultrasound, she commented, "It was cool to see the baby in there." Thankfully, Donna chose to take more time to consider her options. When her nurse shared the gospel with her, Donna decided to rededicate her life to Christ. She said she'd also like to connect with a Christian mentor through the MotherCare program. Pray Donna resolves to continue her pregnancy and raise her child while pursuing growth in her relationship with Christ. ---------- Praise: "Janice" recently gave birth to her first child. When she began experiencing nausea, she wondered if she could be pregnant again. To her surprise, her home pregnancy test was positive. She didn't feel ready to have another baby. Her mother told her to get an abortion and wait until her first child is older to get pregnant again. After seeing her baby on the ultrasound screen, Janice expressed amazement. Her estimated due date fell close her first child's first birthday. "It's crazy!" she exclaimed. Her nurse began to review Janice's options, which included a brochure containing information on abortion procedures and their risks. Janice suddenly and firmly said, "No!" Then started laughing. "I thought I wanted an abortion, but now I'm leaning far away from it." By the end of the appointment, it was clear: Janice was going to have her 2nd baby! Janice said her Christian faith is important to her and she was eager to pray with her nurse. Praise God for convicting Janice of the value of her preborn son or daughter's life. Continue to pray for Janice to remain resolute in her decision to carry to term!

Our daughter, Hadassah has had a fever for 3 days & has had a very bad sore throat. She tested negative for covid & we took her to Urgent Care today & had her checked for Strept throat. They did a quick test & that was negative but still sent it in for further results. They also mentioned she has tonsillitis & told us to take her again to a ear, nose & throat specialist. They will let us know results in 24-48 hrs. Please pray that she heals quickly & that the Drs find out the real cause of her illness so they can figure out how to treat it. Thank you Saints.

CompassCare
From CompassCare: There were 43 women and their babies served at CompassCare last week. ------------------------------- Prayer: "Lovely" was dealing with severe nausea and vomiting when she came to CompassCare. She wasn't able to converse much due to feeling ill, but told her nurse she feels she needs to get an abortion immediately. Her nurse was able to help her get some relief from the nausea right away and provide her with means to alleviate the symptoms going forward. Lovely was willing to get an ultrasound exam. "I know it's a sin to have an abortion and God would not like this," she said. Her nurse asked if she would feel differently if she had lasting relief from the nausea and vomiting. She said she would, but also said her kids are older and she is getting married this summer so she's not sure she wants to be pregnant. Lovely began to open up about the toll previous abortions took on her emotions. When her nurse shared the gospel with her, Lovely decided to surrender her life to Christ. Lovely plans to return for another appointment. Pray she encounters Christ in a powerful way through His word and she decides to continue her pregnancy. --------------------------------- Praise: When "Judy" first came to CompassCare a few weeks ago, she had no hope. The news of her pregnancy filled her with anxiety and she wondered if abortion was the only choice. She had just moved from another continent and had few connections apart from the father of the baby and his family. "This is bad timing," she told her nurse. She felt worried about her finances but admitted, "I never thought I would get an abortion." When her nurse shared the gospel with her, Judy prayed to surrender her life to Christ. She also asked to be paired with a MotherCare mentor from a local church. Several weeks later, Judy told her nurse she plans to continue her pregnancy and raise her baby. She said she needed time to process things and was encouraged by own mother's perspective. "[My mom] said this is a blessing, and I agree!" Judy said she knows it won't be easy, but she now has hope. She connected with a MotherCare mentor and is ready to start her journey as a parent. Praise God for revealing Himself through His people and through the gospel message, which has the power for salvation. Pray Judy continues to grow in her new faith and receives all the support she needs to be a great mom.
