-Linda Weckelman
Linda lately has been in pain {chemo side effects } and the cancer
indicator markers have increased. She has been advised to enter into
"consultation" with Roswell in Buffalo, who are doing advanced clinical
trials. They are praying for the Lord's direction/guidance. Linda & Gerry
well know; the Lord is with them, and He alone is the Good Shepherd
who loves and cares for the sheep.
-Mike Grabowski said the week at Strong helped cleared up his kidney infection and is ever so grateful to the Lord for His continual grace and for all the prayers. Mike's main prayer request is for his wife's Susan well being, happiness and peace.
-Bruce asked for prayer for his sister Karen who is scheduled for a renal
catheter procedure in early March to remove some blockages kidney stones. She has been in pain & discomfort for some time.
- Please pray for Gerry Weckelman who seems to have a "pinched nerve" in his neck causing considerable pain /stiffness. Gerry is a blessing, always by Linda's side, encouraging her.
-Prayed with brother Rick on Sunday; His lower lower back continues to be in pain and very sensitive. He waited weeks for an MRI approval and it revealed some disc involvement.
-Roger Reddy mentioned that he truly appreciated { I'm so grateful and blessed"} by the calls, texts and prayers from the body of Christ. Day by day he is improving and doing more and more on his own.
-Roseann mentioned that she continues to experience irregular heart beats especially during the night ... She has an appointment with her cardiologist this Wednesday.

Jan and Jack Slocum
Please pray for both of us. Jack - I had an A-fib attack last night, and Jan has had a painful flare up of her lichen sclerosis. We really think most of this is spiritual warfare as we work our way through Romans with the growth group. Thanks for the prayers!!!

CompassCare
35 women and their babies were served at CompassCare last week! ---------- Pray: "Maureen" came to CompassCare to confirm her pregnancy. Less than a year ago, she had gone to Planned Parenthood for a chemical abortion. Since then, she suffered from intense guilt and regret. Still, she feels stuck and is unsure if she can parent her baby. Her circumstances seem to be conspiring against her and her baby and she worries she may have to endure another abortion. At CompassCare, Maureen felt cared for and dignified. She received the ethical medical services and information she needed to safeguard her own health so she could explore all of her options. Maureen talked more with her nurse about her remorse over ending the life of her first baby. Her nurse took the opportunity to share the limitless love of Christ through the gospel message. Thrilled at the notion of grace and forgiveness, Maureen decided to surrender her life to Christ in prayer in the exam room. Pray Maureen draws near to God during this critical time of decision and she is filled with Christ-like compassion for her preborn baby. Pray she resists relational and cultural pressure to abort and chooses to carry her pregnancy to term! ---------- Praise: "Marla" was early in her pregnancy and wanted to get a checkup and discuss the possibility of getting an abortion. Planned Parenthood turned her away, saying they were booked for the next several weeks. Seeking information she new she needed to make an informed decision, Marla searched for a healthcare provider who could see her right away.
When Marla called CompassCare, she was able to get an appointment on the same day. When she arrived, Marla told her nurse that her parents were pressuring her to get an abortion. Marla is already raising a toddler and knows both the joys and challenges of parenting. She didn't really want an abortion, but her family was pressuring her to pursue it—her mother even told her, "I hope you miscarry then." When Marla saw her active nine-week-old child on the ultrasound screen, she said she felt unsure about what to do. The influence of her family was strong, but her own maternal instincts were amplified by the sight of her child. Marla returned for a second appointment and told her nurse she decided to carry her pregnancy to term. She could not go through with having an abortion and is committed to finding the best path forward, be it parenting her child or placing him or her in a loving adoptive family. She met with CompassCare's Resource Coordinator to begin making a plan for her and the child's future. She also plans to connect with a MotherCare mentor in a local church. Praise God for connecting Marla to CompassCare at just the right time! Pray Marla comes to a saving knowledge of Christ and grows in faith, hope, and love as she nurtures her growing child.

Prayer request for my dear ex husband, Jeff…I’ve been praying for his salvation and waiting on God in hope for the marriage, but I’ve not had any contact from him since Sept 2021 until yesterday. I sent him an email about a business item and he responded quickly and briefly with the account information I needed. I am praising God that he responded, and renewing my prayers for his salvation and for God to give him a new heart and resurrect our marriage and family. Thank you for praying and hoping with me

The Hakes
Update on Nancy - second very small mass (2mm) is benign. Amen! Thank you for your prayers. Her prognosis remains very good for the removal of the 1 cm tumor next week.
We feel the presence of God, His peace and trusting Him for the surgery and follow up. Praying for a miracle that the protein (her2neu) would be gone, but if not, that Nancy will tolerate the chemo with little to no side effects. He is our healer and redeemer...He deserves all the praise and honor. Thank you for praying.

CompassCare
From CompassCare: 32 women and their babies were served at the 3 CompassCare locations last week!----------Prayer: "Nancy" called CompassCare for abortion information. When she spoke to a compassionate member of the scheduling team, she learned CompassCare does not provide or refer for abortion but offers diagnostic services which can help her make an informed decision regarding her pregnancy. She decided to make an appointment and receive these services at no cost to her. Nancy was a bit further along in her pregnancy than she originally thought. She smiled and laughed when she saw her active baby on the ultrasound screen. She opened up to her nurse, sharing she's been experiencing intense anxiety at the thought of adding a fifth child to her family. She is a single mom without family in the U.S. Although she was considering terminating the pregnancy, she could not bring herself to talk about it. Nancy's nurse discussed the services and support available to her and shared about the love of Christ through the gospel message. Nancy said she is a Christian and has attended church regularly in the past. Pray Nancy has the courage to continue her pregnancy and leverages the support available to her. Pray her faith is deepened during this critical juncture in her life.----------Praise: Here is a special video from Zhanna sharing her story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-T3aNKW0Ac4
