I'm in a bad cycle where my blood pressure is high because I'm still healing from surgery. I can't get different meds to work. The blood pressure meds that I'm on cause me other issues which leads me in having more stress. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday. I know our God is a healer. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for Luke and his friends who are taking a trip to India. He is saved, but I don't think his friends are. Please pray for safety and that the friends give their lives to Jesus. Thanks.

Our car was rear-ended back in January, and there has been one delay after another between the collision shop and the insurance company. Please pray for the Lord to intervene in all this. We're blessed we have Jan's '96 Saturn to get us around, but it's not very comfortable anymore for her. We're learning more patience!!

33 women and their babies were served at CompassCare last week! ---------- Pray: "Daisy" is in her early twenties and is raising a toddler. She came to CompassCare saying she needs to get an abortion. When she understood the services available, she decided to stay for a medical appointment with on of CompassCare's nurses. Daisy explained she's had many abortions—so many that she lost count. She believes she had five or six abortions in one year. When asked about her current pregnancy, she said flatly, "I don't want it." Her nurse encouraged her to take the opportunity while in the office to reflect and talk through her feelings and experiences. So, Daisy and her nurse talked. Daisy opened up about some deep hurts in her life, perhaps for the first time with someone who would listen nonjudgmentally, shedding some tears. When her nurse shared the gospel, Daisy decided she could not live without the mercy, love and forgiveness of Jesus any longer and surrendered her life to Christ. Daisy left the appointment still unsure about the outcome of her pregnancy. Pray she grows in her relationship with the One who created her and her children. Pray she has the courage to carry to term. ---------- Praise: "Kelly" just graduated from high school and recently moved to New York state to be with her boyfriend. While living with him and his family, Kelly became pregnant. She and her boyfriend, overwhelmed at the prospect of being parents and the responsibility of raising a child started looking for abortion information. Kelly saw an ad for CompassCare online, like many women do, and realized it would be a good idea to come in for an appointment. Eager to check on her own health and the progress of her pregnancy, she was grateful to get an appointment right away—that very day. When Kelly heard the heartbeat of her child during the ultrasound exam, she smiled and began to cry tears of joy. "I can't believe it has a heartbeat! I can't get rid of it, I can't have an abortion." Although the thought of being a mother still intimidated her, she said she was open to learning about all the community support available to her. Kelly's nurse shared the gospel with her. Her response was genuine amazement. "I always wanted religion," she said, "but I never knew how to go about it. I never heard that message." She decided to surrender her life to Christ there in the exam room. Kelly called her boyfriend exclaiming, "I heard the heartbeat!" He rejoiced with her and his mother could be heard crying out, "That's my grandbaby!" Praise God for causing Kelly to find CompassCare online at just the right time. Pray that her child is loved and embraced as an invaluable image-bearer and his or her family grows in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
