Please pray for my daughter's friend, Sarah. She is only 32 years old. I am not sure if she is a believer. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and underwent a bilateral mastectomy. She is now suffering from severe adverse affects from the chemo which has caused liver damage. The steroids they are giving her have also affected her ability to walk at times. In addition, she has developed an infection. She is living down south with her husband and his family and she is getting little to no emotional support. Thank you and God Bless!

CompassCare

From CompassCare: 28 women and their babies were served at CompassCare last week! ---------- Prayer: "Harmony" has an abortion appointment scheduled this week. She saw information about CompassCare's professional medical services available at no cost to her and made an appointment to get crucial health screenings before going through with her abortion plan. When she came to CompassCare for her first appointment, she told her nurse that she and the father of the baby agree abortion is the best course of action. "I don't want more kids," she said flatly. No one in her life knows about the pregnancy other than the father of the baby. She appears to feel no tension over getting another abortion within the same year. Harmony has no faith background and was not interested in learning about the gospel when her nurse asked. She did make a return appointment to be seen again before her scheduled abortion. Pray Harmony's heart is softened towards her developing child and she chooses to say "no" to abortion. ---------- Praise: "Dorothy" came to CompassCare for an ultrasound. After having four surgical abortions, she wondered if she could make a different choice with this pregnancy. Seeing her preborn baby moving on the ultrasound screen evoked a joyful response from Dorothy. When discussing her abortion experiences and considering the risks, Dorothy resolved to continue her pregnancy. At the end of the appointment, she said, "I know an unplanned pregnancy could actually be a blessing!" When she heard the gospel, Dorothy said, "I know God loves me. And my baby!" Praise God for giving Dorothy the grace to change the direction of her life and have her baby. Pray she and her child grow and flourish as they are supported by their community and the local church.

Linda will be starting the newest available chemo on Monday (3/20). Linda's cancer cells were tested and 100% of the cells are susceptible to the chemo, so we are praying that this is the Lord's timing for treatments that will finally destroy the cancer that is in her body. We so appreciate all the support we get from our Koinonia family!

Praise report from Praveen Hiwale: Thank you so much for your prayers. God has granted our request. The cancer has not spread elsewhere and the infected part has been totally removed. There will be some post operative treatment and some medication for blocking the hormone as the cancer is hormone induced. Thank you once again to all who prayed.

From Pastor Tony: Linda W - Let's continue to pray for our dear sister in Christ, Linda mentioned that she just had a "rough week" and that

no matter what, she continues to walk by faith totally trusting in the LORD; "He is a wonderful Father." and thank you all

for praying me & Ger.

Mike G Praise Report - Michael & Susan recently met with the physical therapy department at Mike's rehab facility and expressed concern because his PT has stopped. They simply asked them to consider re starting PT so he might have the possibility of retuning home,

provided he is able stand and pivot from his bed to a wheel chair. etc.

The VA has approved the necessary equipment for his home if he's able

to return. The PT supervisor indicated that they will do everything possible

to support Michael and are looking into modifying his leg prosthetic device

so it would fit properly... Michael & Susan are praising the Lord for for this new & exciting possibility. They know that; "God is our refuge & strength and ever present help in time of need"

CompassCare

23 women and their babies were served at CompassCare this week. ---------- Prayer: "Melinda" came to CompassCare for an initial appointment recently. Although the father of the baby wanted her to carry to term and raise the child, Melinda felt pressured to get an abortion. She feels financially burdened and has a toddler at home. The viability of her pregnancy was confirmed via ultrasound. Melinda remarked she "had no idea there was so much development." After reviewing the abortion information brochure she felt less confident about getting an abortion. She wanted time to talk with her mom. Melinda has had two appointments at CompassCare since then. At her most recent appointment, she became emotional and shed tears at the sight of her eight-week-old baby moving on the ultrasound screen. She feels guilty considering abortion, especially given the that she has support from her mom as well as her boyfriend and his mom. But financial pressure along with relationship challenges have her locked in a state of uncertainty. She is scheduled for a follow-up appointment with CompassCare and an initial appointment with her OB/GYN. Pray Melinda fully resolves to carry her pregnancy to term and banishes all thoughts of abortion from her mind.---------- Praise: "Lily" is a young mother raising an infant. She and her boyfriend work together as parents, but news of a second pregnancy was overwhelming to Lily. She wanted to get an abortion. Her boyfriend said he wished she keep the baby and was prepared to welcome a second child into their home. However, he went ahead and researched abortion options for her. They chose to come to CompassCare to find out how far along Lily is. Lily said she hoped she was less than ten weeks along, so she could "take the pill" to abort her baby, thinking this would be an easier method. Her boyfriend said openly he would rather she didn't get the abortion, but wanted to support her decision because, "It's her body, her choice." The ultrasound exam revealed a twenty-eight-week-old baby. Lily immediately dissolved into tears. Lily and her boyfriend realized Lily's only choices were to have a surgical abortion or to give birth to this baby in a few short months. Her boyfriend again expressed his support and they made a return appointment. At her second appointment, Lily met with one of CompassCare's resource coordinators. She learned about the wide range of support available to her and she began to see a path forward for herself and her children. When she met with her nurse again, she heard the gospel a second time. Understanding the salvation and strength available in Christ, Lily decided to surrender her life to Jesus in prayer with her nurse. Praise God for sending Lily to CompassCare. She and her child have been spared from the agony of abortion and her soul has been made new through Christ! Continue to pray for Lily and the father of the baby as they make plans for the future.
