I'm thanking God for His provision and good care. I asked for a car because mine has issues of leaking oil in the radiator, and a friend is giving me a used car. Just praying for good employment and in need of a place to live very soon. I have some renovating skills.

"Elena" is in her mid-twenties and found CompassCare online. She doesn't want to go to Planned Parenthood because of the people standing outside protesting. Elena began crying even before she came into the exam room. She told her nurse that the father of the baby is very supportive of her continuing the pregnancy but stated that she can't financially make it work. Elena would not stay for whole appointment since CompassCare wouldn't give her an abortion referral. She wasn't upset about it, she just wants to "get it done and behind me." Her nurse said she seemed very broken and hurting. Please pray for Elena. Pray that she is convinced of her need to protect her baby's life. Pray that she is unable to get an abortion appointment and would come back to CompassCare. --------- UPDATE: "Dianna" (mid-thirties, past abortions) came in for her return appointment and her pregnancy was confirmed. She was a bit shocked because she hasn't been having any pregnancy symptoms recently. She told her nurse that she believes in God, has put her faith in Him, and believes things happen for a reason. Dianna agrees that He has purposes even in the hard things that come into our lives. Please continue to pray for Dianna. The father of the baby is in jail and she wants nothing to do with him now or in the future. Please pray that God will show Himself to her in a profound way this week and that she will choose to protect her child, no matter how difficult her circumstances. Pray that she will return next week for another appointment.

Makhi UPDATE: Sent 3/21 from Amy (mom): Makhi had an important developmental doctor’s appointment Thursday at the Kirsch Center. The doctor believes he suffered a stroke as well, however, proof of this will not show up until his next MRI because it usually takes about 6 months after a stroke to show brain damage from that. He has microcephaly which means his brain has stopped growing…hoping it’s temporary and his brain will start growing again. He also has Hypotonia which is the step before Cerebal Palsy so they will continue to watch that, but hopefully with his daily therapies this can be beat. I’m so glad I signed him up and take him to therapies daily. Even the doctor stated he was PERFECT prior to the nurse mishandling of his tracheotomy event (15 minutes without oxygen to his brain). It remains a very hard pill to swallow (still choking on it) and not knowing what our future holds. I am so grateful for everything people have done for me and my family.
-----------------
From Steve: Makhi is almost 1 year old now. They remain looking for LPN's that are reliable and trustworthy. Prayers are very appreciated by the family. Thank You, Lord.

"Helena" has severe mental health issues. She recently found out she is pregnant and doesn't think she is ready for a baby. Her ultrasound showed a 14 week old child and Helena quipped, "I hope it's a boy!" The father of the baby has several of his own kids and is not sure he wants more. She was encouraged to return for another appointment and to speak with her mental health provider.
Please pray that God would work out the difficulties in Helena's situation. Pray that she will have the courage to carry to term, despite these difficulties. ---------- "Marina" is a mother of two and recently found out she is pregnant again. Overwhelmed with caring for her children while working full-time, she is seriously considering abortion. Marina doesn't like abortion but feels she just can't care for another child. She is also having some relationship issues and the father of the baby, who came with her, doesn't want her to get an abortion. When they heard the heartbeat of their nine week old baby, they paused and looked at each other. Marina told her nurse that she is a Christian and feels that God and her family will be disappointed in her if she gets an abortion. Please pray that this young woman would discuss her pregnancy with her family. Pray that she would be convinced of her need to protect her child's life. Pray that they both return next week, intent on carrying their child to term. ---------- "Lyla" was surprised to find she is pregnant and although she doesn't believe abortion is right and comes from a family of faith, she feels that it is her only option. She has a toddler and recently moved closer to her parents for their support. Lyla has been frustrated that she has not been able to find a job since moving here. The father of the baby has stated in the past that he does not want children and Lyla is hesitant to tell him. She was visibly moved when she heard the heartbeat of her six week child. She stated if it was just up to her, she would keep the baby. She is determined now to have a conversation with the father. Please pray that this be a week of crying out for discernment and guidance for Lyla. Pray that her family and church will help guide her to a godly decision. -------- "Janinie" has three children and had a tubal ligation after her last pregnancy because of a host of medical issues. She is now pregnant and doesn't want to go through a high-risk pregnancy. She is conflicted about getting an abortion but feels she needs to go forward with one. Her boyfriend told Janinie in front of her nurse, "God doesn't give you anything He doesn't promise to help you with." She became tearful when discussing her situation and was advised to see an OB/GYN who specializes in high-risk pregnancies to get another opinion. Please pray that Janinie would cry out to God for direction and have the faith to commit this situation to Him. Pray that she would receive a favorable prognosis from the OB referral and reconsider aborting this baby. --------- "Lila" told her nurse that she believes everything happens for a reason. She also doesn't believe in abortion and feels she would have too much regret...but she is considering it because she is overwhelmed with her existing children. Lila admits to having a lot of support and that her husband would rather she continued. Her pregnancy is too early to confirm and she has an abortion appointment already scheduled. Lila is willing to wait a week and come back for confirmation before getting an abortion. She considers her relationship with God very important and prayed with her nurse before leaving. Please pray for Lila this week. Pray that she returns for a second appointment. Pray that her husband steps up and strongly encourages her to continue.

PRAISE REPORTS: "Gyanna" came in for her return appointment. She and her boyfriend had a long talk about the pregnancy and they are planning on continuing! She told her nurse that she plans on sharing the news with her family and children soon. Thank you for praying for Gyanna, please pray that they both remain firm in their resolve to carry to term. ---------- "Janay"'s nurse had not heard from her since October. (She lived w/her mom & 2 kids; boyfriend did not want a child; planned to abort.) She finally responded to a text yesterday saying that she is still pregnant, is having a girl, and that despite some difficult things going on she is continuing her pregnancy! Janay said several times in her text that God is blessing her and asked for continued connection with CompassCare for support and encouragement.
