"Trinity" came to CompassCare wanting to start the process for an abortion. She has a toddler at home and feels she cannot afford another child at this point. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm and Trinity stated she wants to come back next week to see how things progress. She seemed to soften somewhat after hearing of God's love and compassion for her. She and her nurse prayed and ask for direction from Him, along with peace and hope for her future. Please pray that Trinity would return for her appointment next week and that the evident life of her preborn child would sway her decision. Pray that Trinity will choose to protect her baby's life.

Ciarra has two young children and doesn't feel ready to be pregnant again. She and her boyfriend are both out of work and finding it very challenging to make ends meet. They were in the midst of discussing options for employment vs. further education when Ciarra discovered she was pregnant again. She decided to go to a well known abortionist in the Rochester area. With a history of two previous abortions, she believed she knew what to expect. Instead, the receptionist informed Ciarra that because of a mistake with her insurance she couldn't get an abortion yet. They suggested she talk with her health insurance company to get it straightened out. The representative from the health insurance office listened to Ciarra's situation and directed her to call CompassCare because no insurance is needed. Ciarra came in to her pregnancy appointment at CompassCare and learned that she is pregnant with a healthy nine week old baby. She engaged with her nurse after the ultrasound exam but still felt as though she needed to have an abortion. Before leaving, Ciarra prayed with her nurse and asked the Lord to lead her in the decision. She agreed to take some time to consider her options and come back next week for another appointment. Please pray for Ciarra and her boyfriend as they seriously consider her pregnancy. Pray that they would find the courage to see her pregnancy all the way through and welcome a new child into their home.

From CompassCare: Gyanna came in with her long-time boyfriend with whom she has multiple children. Her last few pregnancies have been difficult, both mentally and physically, and she just doesn't know if she can go through it again. Gyanna told her nurse that her boyfriend will support her in whatever she chooses to do about this pregnancy. She watched her ultrasound intently, remarking on how active her almost ten week old baby is. When reviewing the facts about abortion she was shocked at what is involved in getting a surgical abortion. Gyanna's face brightened when conversing about a relationship with the Lord and she agreed to spend time praying about her decision before she comes back next week. Please pray for Gyanna this week. Pray that she would receive relief from her symptoms. Pray that she returns to CompassCare intent on continuing her pregnancy no matter what. ------Cally told her nurse during a follow-up call that she found an abortionist who will give her an abortion. The abortion is scheduled for next month and Cally will be around 20 weeks pregnant by then. She said she is nervous about the procedure but doesn't feel she has a choice. Another appointment was offered to her and her nurse is waiting for her response. Please continue to pray for Cally. Pray that she will come in for another appointment. Pray for wisdom for her nurse and for courage for Cally. ------Henny is a college student and recently found out she is pregnant. She told her nurse that she immediately thought about not telling anyone and getting an abortion. Then after considering further, she decided to come to CompassCare and get some help. Henny is conflicted about telling her parents because they believe that a couple should be married before having children and she is not sure how they will react. Her ultrasound showed an early pregnancy without a detectable heartbeat yet. By the end of the appointment, Henny and her boyfriend decided to tell their parents before making a decision. She did tell her nurse that she would be "okay" with having a baby but much depends on what her parents say. Please pray for this young couple, that they would have the courage to talk to their parents about the pregnancy. Pray that both sets of parents support protecting this child's life. Pray that they return for another appointment next week.
