"Ebony" only speaks Spanish and her entire appointment was through an interpreter. She is not in relationship with the father of the baby but is in another relationship and plans on marrying that other man. Her ultrasound showed she is pregnant with a 15 week old baby. Ebony became emotionally distraught when reviewing information on abortion but still wanted a referral for one before she left. She eagerly listened to the Gospel presentation and scheduled a return appointment. Please pray that Ebony comes back for her return appointment. Pray that her heart is softened toward her preborn child and that the Lord would open her eyes to her need for Him. ---------- "Angela" missed her abortion appointment and then called CompassCare because a friend recommended it to her. Unfortunately, she showed up to her appointment under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, making it very difficult to engage as she couldn't concentrate. Angela kept flip-flopping between getting an abortion and continuing her pregnancy. Her nurse did learn that she feels a baby would get in the way of her career and that the father of the baby doesn't know she wants an abortion. Her preborn child is 17 weeks old and the abortionist she missed her appointment with said she had until 22 weeks to "get it done." Angela did ask during the ultrasound if her nurse could tell whether her baby was a boy or a girl. She committed to coming back next week for a return appointment. Please pray that Angela comes back to CompassCare, sober and eager to receive the resources and services her nurse can provide. Pray that she does not follow through with her abortion plan.

PRAISE REPORT: "Lyla" (has toddler, can't find work) returned for her second appointment and happily told her nurse that she has decided to continue her pregnancy! Her whole countenance was full of light and joy. She was fearful about telling the father of the baby about the pregnancy, but when she did he was supportive and said he would take care of them. Lyla confessed that when she came to CompassCare last week she was determined to get an abortion and that she is so glad she came here. She acknowledged that this was a God thing and that His hand was on the whole situation. Thanks for praying for this young woman. Please continue to pray that Lyla would grow in her relationship with God as she moves forward with raising her children.

"Marilyn" came into CompassCare sure that she needs to get an abortion. She has a young son and doesn't feel it's time for another baby. She is suffering from severe nausea that has kept her out of work for more than a week. When Marilyn heard her baby's heartbeat she said it's changing her thinking but still didn't think she could deal with the nausea for much longer. Her nurse got her a prescription for nausea medication that should help alleviate her symptoms. Marilyn grew up in church but has abandoned the practice of going and lately has been thinking she needs God's direction in her life. Please pray for Marilyn this week, that the gospel seeds planted during her appointment will grow and flourish. Pray that as she considers her baby's life, she would realize his value and decide to carry to term.

UPDATE on Pastor Ray: He reports being safely in Pune and already at work addressing the faculty and students at morning chapel at KSOM! PTL! It's hot there physically, 100 degrees even in the morning, and politically/spiritually with radical Hinduism taking over control of governments, so please continue to pray for Ray's health and strength and safety.

Please pray for my daughter-in-law, who is in her forties and has been having some health issues for quite some time now. She has been making positive changes in her diet, getting exercise, spends time with the Lord daily, and sees a doctor, but she is stressed and her husband is concerned. Please pray for the Lord's protection, wisdom, and peace for her. Thank you, Saints!

UPDATE on My friend Val (who was not able to have the liver transplant): She has decided not to do the heavier dose of chemo and radiation which was recommended by Mt Sinai hospital. She'll continue the maintenance dose. She has an appointment on April 1 at Sloan Cancer Center in NYC. They may have clinical trials available to her. She remains in good spirits and convinced she will beat the cancer. PRAYER REQUEST: Please play for miraculous healing, strength, and for her salvation. Pray for her sons strength, courage, and peace. She believes in God but I'm not sure of her salvation. Thank you.

CompassCare

CompassCare is now erasing the need for abortion in Buffalo! The goal is to cut Buffalo abortions by 50% in five years. Three Buffalo pregnancy centers (Northtown Pregnancy Center, Southtown Pregnancy Center, and Buffalo Pregnancy Care Center) unanimously determined to allow CompassCare to adopt their operations in order to replicate in Buffalo what God has done in Rochester. The various staff and board of directors for each of the four organizations began active consolidation of the Buffalo staff and operations as of Tuesday, March 19. Please keep the following on your prayer list: 1) A smooth transition with the consolidation of all the Buffalo organizations, 2) Three more RNs in Buffalo to join the team, 3) The enthusiastic support of all pro-life Christians in Buffalo, 4) The provision of a new location in the city near the abortionists, big enough to serve 25% of the women considering abortion any given month, 5) An effective and well-attended 2019 Pregnancy Center Fundraising Banquet in Buffalo on Thursday May 9th.
