"Jamie" and her boyfriend came to CompassCare believing that they should get a medical abortion. They are young and don't feel ready to be parents. There are several people in their family that have had children at a young age and they don't want to follow in that pattern. His parents know about the pregnancy and his mom said she would do "anything" to help them continue. Jamie's parents don't know but if they did would want her to continue as well. During her ultrasound, Jamie was surprised to learn that her baby already has a heartbeat. She made many conflicting statements about her feelings. On one hand, she doesn't feel ready to be a mom, and on the other, she has always been against abortion, actually talking her sister out of one a couple years ago. Please pray for Jamie and her boyfriend. Pray that they determine to protect their child's life. Pray that they tell Jamie's parents and return next week for another appointment. --------- "Monica" feels torn about what to do because she wants to continue her pregnancy but her boyfriend "isn't ready for a child." She feels connected to her baby and thinks that children are a blessing. Her ultrasound showed a six week old baby with a strong heartbeat. Both Monica and her boyfriend smiled in response to seeing their baby on the screen. He said that he believes in God and will pray about this decision. Please pray that God would speak to his heart and give him the courage to father this child. Pray that Monica would resolve to continue her pregnancy, no matter what. Pray that she would return for another visit. --------- "Asia" came to CompassCare filled with regret having started a chemical abortion the day before. She told her nurse that she was so afraid of having another child that she just impulsively acted. Asia went online and discovered that CompassCare has a treatment that reverses the effects of the abortion pill. She came in right away, asking for help. Her pregnancy is too early to see a heartbeat. She received the pregnancy sustaining medication and made an appointment for the next day. Asia came in and reported severe cramping and bleeding. Please pray for Asia, that God will have mercy on her, and rescue her child. Pray that when she comes in next week, there will be a heartbeat and that her child will be saved.

Please pray for my daughter and her family. She is battling unspoken atrocities in her household and stands alone in her battle without the Lord's intervention. Please pray for the deliverance of her and her children from these atrocities.

"M" and his girlfriend visited the center for material assistance for their baby girl due in June. Girlfriend stopped attending church because she has not been feeling well during pregnancy. She returned to EO later in the day and signed up for parenting classes! Pray that this couple will grow spiritually and find a church family. Pray for a healthy pregnancy and birth, and for the opportunity to point her back to Jesus during our classes together.

From Mary Liebert

Please keep my brother and his family in prayer, as my sister-in-law has just passed away from a brain tumor. Please pray that the Lord would continue to comfort them and totally reveal Himself to each of them in a mighty way. I thank God for the vision that God gave to me before Vicky passed: It was a vision of Jesus holding her in His arms! So I now believe that she is truly HIS!

UPDATE: "Janet" returned to CompassCare with the father of the baby. It seems they have patched things up (he'd been unfaithful) and she has decided to continue her pregnancy! Her mom is still against her having the baby but Janet is determined to make it work. She told her nurse that this baby may be the catalyst for them to start making wiser decisions about their lives. Thank you for praying!

Our granddaughter's roommate at college had a bad panic attack and suicidal thoughts; she is home right now under doctor's care. Please pray for her. Satan is working so hard on these kids these days to commit suicide. Please pray for our granddaughter too, as she is very worried about her. Thank you.

UPDATE on baby Makhi from Steve H.: Makhi continues to go through the daily visits to PT and OT. He has been doing well and smiles a lot!! He is a joy to Amy and Chris. Amy had his hand and foot imprint tattooed on her arm when he was born. She showed me a picture of his current foot and hand print next to the orginal, and he had grown so much!! Although he is only 10-11 lbs (1st birthday this week), he is a beautiful and handsome young man.

A praise report---the LPN schedule, which has been a struggle to find reliable people, has been filled!! Amy and Chris are very grateful for this. It means sleep!!! 🙂 They are very appreciative of the care and concern and prayers you have raised up on their behalf. They have mentioned some day in the spring a visit to Koinonia would be arranged. Please continue to pray for regeneration of brain cells. And, Lord, continue to have Your way in Makhi. Astound doctors, use this to move mountains in the hearts of many. We thank You so much for all that You have done with Amy and Chris and the care for them. Continue to fill them with peace and joy with one another in marriage and as mom and dad!

"A" came in for pregnancy test. She lives with her son, boyfriend and his father. She says she is a Christian and has just started going to church with her boyfriend. Pray that she will read the literature she took home and that God would open her eyes to truth. --------- "N" came in with her boyfriend and son to review STD test results and repeat pregnancy test. She has started a new job. She downloaded a Bible app and plans to read it on her bus ride. Pray that she would respond to the Spirit's promptings and grow in her relationship with Him. She is planning on taking toddler classes when things settle down with their new home and job. She asked for prayer for strength and endurance during this transition time when she only sees her son twice a week. -------- "R" has been coming in for counseling a couple times a week for the past few weeks. He rededicated his life to Christ in the first session and has been attending church each week. He is struggling in a few areas of life. Please pray for that calm and peace that passes all understanding and for a job. -------- "B" has taken on the awesome responsibility of parenting his daughter, as the mom is not interested in her child. "B" has been going to church with his mom but had never admitted to our Lord that he is a sinner and needs a Savior. That changed recently and he became a new creation in Christ! Pray he would return next week and the Holy Spirit would protect and nurture his step of faith. "J" came in with her cousin for material aid. She has just moved in with another family member but does not do anything to support herself or her two children. Please pray that she will return in a couple weeks to start parenting classes and that together we can help her take steps toward a deeper relationship with Christ and toward independence.
