I just want to get out of this season! My heart is breaking because of my granddaughter and now my ex Mother had a heart attack and she was like my second Mom! She has a clogged artery and is slowly dying! I went to see her and she said I love you so much! You will always be my daughter! I’m trying to be strong but I can’t handle life anymore! Please pray she gets to leave and pass in her own house! That’s what she wants! My Lilly will be happy to have her second nana there!

UPDATE ON VAL: She will NOT be having surgery after all. Sloan cancer center conferred with Sinai and re-reviewed the biopsies taken during her attempted liver transplant and it was indeed malignant. So Sinai was correct in stopping the transplant. Sloan can't do surgery. Now to decide on more chemo to keep the spread at bay (which would be the full blast amount, not maintenance) or just try holistic means and ride it out. Please pray for God's healing and His direction for her and her salvation, peace and comfort for her and her family.

"Moriah" is a mother of four and currently a full time college student. She experienced some complications with her last pregnancy and has made up her mind that she needs to get an abortion. After seeing her eight week old baby on the ultrasound screen and hearing his heartbeat, she paused and said, "I know it's against my Christian beliefs to get an abortion, but God will forgive me." Before leaving, she agreed to talk with her mom about her pregnancy and return next week for another visit. Please pray that Moriah would be convicted of her need to protect her baby, not destroy him. Pray that God would guide and direct her path.

Riley's disease has progressed! She can’t walk and has paralysis in her right hand and shoulder! She also has a g-tube! My daughter totally lost it and was crying so hard! Our hearts are breaking and it’s so unfair! My other daughter told me that I have to face it that Riley is going to go through what Lilly did and die! I don’t have the strength to lose another grandchild! The pain is unbearable; we only lost Lilly fourteen months ago! How do you go on?

My prayer is for my mom, who is facing some big life changes and not sure what or how to do them. She is divorced and has been on her own many, many years and is struggling in deciding on moving, selling her home, which is too much for her to keep up with on her own, making the best financial decision since she is retired. It has been a decision she has wrestled with for years, and with her physical health with an autoimmune disease and normal aging, these decision need to be made but are overwhelming. She has amazing faith, but when sickness strikes it’s hard to see past it. Thank you all so much. I believe in the power of prayer and know that God will lead her the right way and give her the peace she needs and confidence in Him!

UPDATE on my friend Val (bile duct cancer): Val has a surgery date of May 2 at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. This is her fifth hospital. They believe that Mt Sinai hospital misread the pathology report and that the cancer did NOT spread outside the liver. They will attempt to remove the cancer and leave enough liver for her to survive / have the liver regenerate. And, NO chemo needed. Please pray for wisdom, skill, and steady hands for the surgeons, for a positive outcome, and complete and speedy recovery. Pray for peace, comfort, and strength for Val and her sons Matt and Mitch. She is very grateful for all the prayers and believes they are the reason for this new turn for the positive. Thank you.

"Natalie" told her nurse that she was totally shocked to see a positive pregnancy test. She is in the middle of college and a single mom of two. Natalie is not sure her boyfriend will want her to continue and is shopping for an abortion. After her ultrasound, Natalie said she was surprised at how strong her feelings are toward her baby. She said she is religious and leads her kids in prayer every night but has never surrendered her life to Christ. Natalie committed to thinking about her decision for another week and scheduled a return appointment. Please pray for Natalie that she would call out to her heavenly Father for help. Pray that she returns with a changed mind.

UPDATE from Jeannie: My sister finally had her back surgery this morning and the doctor said everything went well. Praise God! She will see physical therapists tomorrow to get her out of bed and walking. How she does with that will determine when she comes home. Thank you all for your love, concern and prayers.
