Please pray for our neighbor Dave, who was admitted to the hospital over the weekend with abdominal pain. They found lesions on his liver and intestines and are doing biopsies. (There’s a family history of lymphoma.) He and his wife are nominal Christians, so please pray this situation would draw them into a serious relationship with the Lord Jesus.

"Charity" came to CompassCare looking for direction and information about abortion. She is overwhelmed with life right now and can't imagine adding another child to the mix. She has three children, three part-time jobs, and is finishing her degree. Charity told her nurse that she had to be on bed rest for her other pregnancies and if that happens again she doesn't know how she could support her family. She did share that she recently got baptized but doesn't feel she can tell anyone about the pregnancy. Please pray that Charity would experience God's grace and mercy this week as she considers her options. Pray that He would reveal Himself to her and that she would return intent on carrying to term. ---------- "Claire" is a college student with big plans for her future. Tears started flowing as soon as she sat down in the CompassCare exam room and shared why being pregnant is just not an option right now. Claire told her boyfriend and he thinks they are too young and should abort. She intently listened to the Gospel and allowed her nurse to pray for her. Please pray for Claire as she goes home and thinks about all the information she received at CompassCare. Pray that she protects her baby's life and comes back for another appointment. ---------- Hannah" recently broke up with the father of her baby and now doesn't wish to have any connection with him. Her hope is to get an abortion. Hannah's pregnancy was confirmed via ultrasound and she saw her six week old baby on the screen. When asked how she felt about what she saw, Hannah shook her head and responded, "I don't know. I just don't know." She agreed to take a bit more time to process before making a decision. Please pray for Hannah and her preborn baby during this crucial decision-making time. Pray that she comes back to CompassCare for encouragement and support. --------- UPDATE: "Lila" (overwhelmed with her children, but husband wanted baby) came in for an appointment after having gotten an abortion a month ago. She poured out her profound regret to her nurse and wished out loud she could take back her decision. Her nurse shared the forgiveness and healing one can receive through faith in Christ. Lila earnestly prayed, asking for forgiveness and surrendering her life to Jesus Christ. Please pray for our new sister-in-Christ. Pray that she would take advantage of a local post-abortion counseling referral. Most of all, pray that the sweet balm of God's grace would soothe her aching heart.

My mother (Laurie Reynolds) is having nasal surgery tomorrow, Monday 5/13 that is quite invasive and would appreciate wisdom and discernment for the two doctors involved. Also that there are no complications and that the pain would be under control.

Embracing Options
"N" came for a pregnancy test, STD testing, and supplies for her precious young son. This young lady is facing many challenges: unstable relationship with father of the baby; an abusive ex (father of her son); medical conditions; and other children not in her care. Join us in praying that the Lord would give her courage and strength to carry her child, that He would protect her, and that she would be drawn in relationship with Him. Pray she keeps a return appointment with us.

PRAISE REPORT: 1450 participated in last Saturday's Walk for Life festivities and raised over $325,000 to declare that regardless of what abortion laws are passed, we can still help women say "no" to abortion. PRAISE GOD!!!

"Morgan" returned for her second visit and still isn't sure she can have this baby. She feels conflicted because she doesn't like abortion, as she believes that each and every pregnancy is determined by God, but doesn't have the support she so desperately wants. Her ultrasound confirmed an almost 7 week old baby. When presented with the Gospel, Morgan said she has considered surrendering her life to God but just hasn't felt ready. She was encouraged to return for another visit with her boyfriend so he can see the ultrasound for himself. Please pray that God would grant Morgan peace in the midst of her circumstances. Pray that she would return for another visit with the father of her baby. ---------- "Jan" and her boyfriend came in for her appointment. She discovered she was pregnant several weeks ago but has been too busy to make plans. Jan suffers from severe nausea and doesn't think she can continue and her boyfriend doesn't think they can financially support a child. Both of their parents are religious and according to Jan, would be very upset if they found out she is pregnant. They were encouraged to discuss their situation with their parents and come back for another appointment. Please pray that this couple would reconsider their decision and choose to protect their child's life. Pray that their parent's responses would be encouraging and supportive. --------- "Carla" is a college student that came in a day before she was supposed to go home for the summer. She was shocked and overwhelmed to learn she is pregnant. Carla told her nurse she is afraid to tell her parents and wants to get an abortion ASAP. She began crying when presented with the gospel but said she isn't ready to surrender her life to Christ. She did not schedule a return appointment as she is headed out of town. Please pray for Carla as she goes home and tells her parents about her pregnancy. Pray that they support her and encourage her to carry to term. --------- "Brenda" went to an abortionist earlier this week to get an abortion. She left without getting one and feeling uncared for. Brenda is primarily considering abortion because she is in a new relationship and the father of the baby is encouraging to abort. She does not want to parent alone, but said she would like another child under different circumstances. Brenda's ultrasound showed an early pregnancy of about five weeks with no detectable heartbeat yet. She has been going to church for the past two years and says she has confided in a woman from that church. That woman told her she should go to CompassCare to discuss her options. When we talked about God's love and care for her, Brenda was tearful and appreciative of prayer. She said she wasn't ready to surrender her life to Christ but would consider all she heard this week. Please pray that Brenda considers the life of her child and the future of her soul. Pray that God opens her eyes to see Him and that she comes back, firm in her conviction to carry to term.

I have been healed from multiple rare symptoms. Pain was completely gone. I continue to praise the Lord for all His miracles He has done and continues to do. I have a spinal cord stimulator that has come out of the correct location. Going to ask the Doctor to completely remove it. Also, they say I have Secondary Addison's. The endocrinologist is slowly decreasing the steroids. Pray that the removal of the Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery goes well without complications and vital signs remain stable and the hypothalamus and pituitary glands continue to work normally. Please after praying, praise Jesus for the wonderful miracles the doctors are continuing to see! Thank You, Jesus, for all Your miraculous Miracles! Amen
