"Maria" discovered she was pregnant several weeks ago and because of a strained relationship with the father of the baby, she considered getting an abortion. Eventually she decided to go to a local abortionist and take the chemical abortion pills. Because she was feeling so conflicted about the decision, she asked to take the pills home to think about it more. Then she took the first pill. Later that evening, regretting her decision, Maria researched online, called, and scheduled an appointment at CompassCare. Still conflicted, she didn't show. The scheduler contacted her again, to try and see if she would reschedule but there was no response...until that afternoon. Maria called and wanted to come in to see if her baby was still alive and to talk about reversing the abortion. She was surprised to see an active and healthy 12 week old baby on the screen and decided to proceed with the abortion pill reversal treatment. She confessed that she is still unsure about what to do but agreed to come in again for another ultrasound and to continue the progesterone therapy. Maria also surrendered control of her life to Christ Jesus and prayed to have Him guide her through this tense situation. Please pray that Maria's preborn child will survive the abortion she started and that Maria will fully embrace her decision to continue her pregnancy. --------- "Lauren" is a mom of three kids and feels she has too much going on to have another child. She just started a new job, recently moved to Rochester, and cares for her mom who is in bad health. She was using birth control and is extremely disappointed she got pregnant. Her boyfriend is supportive of whatever she decides to do. Lauren's ultrasound showed a healthy six week old baby and her boyfriend was very engaged. She and her nurse prayed together and made an appointment for next week. Please pray for Lauren as she goes home and thinks about all the information she received at CompassCare. Pray that she returns, intent on keeping her baby.

A dear friend, who was starting a walk with the Lord, has heard voices in her head to get away from the influence of our faith. Please pray she would recognize her need for Jesus and the lies she is hearing. Lord, help her hear You.

Candy is in her mid-teens and came in with her mom for her appointment at CompassCare. She was very nervous and looked overwhelmed about being pregnant. She told her nurse that she is not ready to have a baby. Her mom is definitely the decision-driver in this situation and asked to get her test results ASAP so they could head to an abortionist. Please pray that God will intervene; saving Candy from the devastation of abortion and rescuing the life of her child. ..... Juliet is still abortion-minded but did tell her nurse she has always been pro-life. She asked about what the next steps would be for her to get an abortion but is willing to return for another appointment before making a final decision. Keep praying! . . . Sophie shared that finances are her primary reason she doesn't want another baby, as she is having trouble making ends meet with her current kids. She has shared the news of her pregnancy with her sister and the father of the baby, but not her mom (even though she wants to) because her mom is pro-life and will "pressure me." Sophie's pregnancy is too early to detect a heartbeat yet. She confessed that she still feels in shock over the positive pregnancy test and needs time to clear her head and think. She said she prays all the time, allowed her nurse to pray for her, and scheduled a return appointment. Please pray for Sophie this week as she thinks and prays. Pray that she tells her mom and that they together will come back to CompassCare for another ultrasound.

Angel recently moved to Rochester to separate herself from an unhealthy relationship. She is a single mom and is trying to start over. . . . . .Angel said she feels overwhelmed and is looking for an "emergency abortion." She was seemingly unfazed by the ultrasound image of her active 14 week old baby. When her nurse shared the life changing news of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection on our behalf, she tearfully responded "I want that!" and prayed to receive Him. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would encourage and embolden her to make the decision to protect her child. Pray that she is willing to be connected to a MotherCare Team and that she comes back for another appointment.

"Abi" is eight weeks pregnant and determined to have an abortion. "I've thought about it for a few weeks and believe this is best thing to do." Abi has a rambunctious four year old at home and feels overwhelmed, plus she's experiencing nausea, vomiting, and exhaustion. Please pray for Abi, that she would stop to consider the ramifications of her decision. Pray that she would courageously decide to carry to term. ---------- UPDATE: During a follow-up call, "Charity"'s nurse learned that she had a miscarriage recently. Please pray for comfort and healing for Charity as she grieves the loss of her baby.
