"Jocelyn" is in her mid-teens and found out she is pregnant several weeks ago. She was not considering abortion because of her personal convictions but her boyfriend would like her to get one as he has a child already and is not sure he wants to support another one. Jocelyn lives with her aunt and is thankful for the safe and caring environment she's been raised in. She is very anxious about telling her aunt as she feels she will disappoint her greatly. Jocelyn was moved to tears as she saw her 10-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen. "It makes it so real. It makes me happy!" Please pray that Jocelyn tells her aunt about the pregnancy and is encouraged to carry to term by her. Especially pray that she would pursue a relationship with the Lord. -------- "Jaylee" came in with her sister hoping to get an abortion. She is in total shock having just taken a pregnancy test that morning. Jaylee has both medical and mental health issues that make her think that carrying to term is not an option. She also has the next steps of her life mapped out - finishing college and starting her career being her top priorities. Her sister is strongly advising her to abort. Jaylee cried throughout the appointment, upset about being in this position and having to make a decision. After her nurse shared the Gospel with her, she said she had never heard anything like it before and that she adheres to a form of Buddhism. She agreed to come back for another appointment. Please pray for Jaylee as she goes home and thinks about her decision. Pray that her conscience convicts her and she chooses to carry to term.

Please pray for Paul (my daughter-in-law's father) who is having surgery tomorrow to remove a rare form of cancer. It is going to be a six-hour surgery with a two week hospital stay. Please pray that the doctors are able to remove all the cancer and that it has not spread, and also for Paul's wife and the rest of the family that they will continue to feel peace and comfort and the strength to get through this.

"Monique" has two young children at home and now is pregnant again. She has never considered abortion before but feels things are different this time because she is in an unstable relationship with the father of the baby. She was startled to see an active 9-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen remarking, "that baby is too big to get an abortion!" and "I can't believe it, I hope [she's] a girl!" She professes to be a Christian and agreed to take some time to pray about her decision. Please pray that Monique would choose to carry her child to term, despite the challenges. Pray that the truth she espoused in the exam room would ultimately guide her decision. --------- "Macy" is a young college student who recently found out she is pregnant. She has only been with her boyfriend a short while and feels torn about what to do. Her boyfriend's family has told him that they will disown him if she doesn't get an abortion. Macy did tell her mom and was told she'd support what ever her decision is. Macy wants to finish school but did acknowledge that she could have this baby and do that too. Her ultrasound revealed a six-week-old baby. She was encouraged to pause and take time before making her decision. Pray that Macy will be able to withstand the pressure she is feeling to abort and decide to keep her baby.

I have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and will be undergoing total thyroidectomy surgery on Thursday, August 8th. I'm told the recovery time for the surgery will likely be a week or two. The monitoring and any subsequent treatments will be ongoing after that. Please keep me in prayer during this time. A diagnosis and procedure like this can weigh heavily on one's mind and heart, but the Lord is greater, and He is good. Please pray for my physical and spiritual strength, and that Jesus would be glorified through all of it. Thank you!

UPDATE: She reports her father's pancreatic cancer is stage 3, not metastasized but inoperable. His pain level is consistently high, and his prognosis is not good, maybe a few months. He is to be released from the hospital today, and she asks continued prayer for him and for her brother, who will be caring for him in his home.

Also, please pray for healing for "T" from a broken ankle, and "P" requested prayers for parenting her month old daughter.
