My work colleague Rita, had a dear friend pass away over the weekend at age 48 of a sudden, unexpected heart attack. The following day, a small airplane crashed into her cousin's house having re-fueled and during takeoff killing her cousin and causing severe burns to his two daughters. Rita is broken hearted and asks, "How much more can I take Lord?" Please lift up Rita in prayer asking the Lord to pour out His grace upon her grieving heart at this time.

A friend of mine and his wife had been trying to get pregnant for a few years, and they are now praising the Lord for a new pregnancy with twins, but are going through a great deal of medical problems with Baby B. Baby A has most of the placenta and Baby B has a small amount, which is leading to not receiving enough nutrients. Bri (mother) is having a Laser procedure to save both boys by separating the placenta. This will give Baby B a separate placenta and a chance to actually flourish, but will create a risk to Baby A. They had an option to cut off Baby B and to make the entire pregnancy MUCH safer and Baby A would have over a 90 percent chance of ending the pregnancy strong, but they felt strongly led to give Baby B a chance at life. They are laying this entire situation at the feet of God, knowing that He is in control. They state: "Regardless of what happens...we will continue to profess the greatest of God. He's so good."
Please flood Heaven with prayers for the Filippelli boys and Bri.

UPDATES: "Macy" (young college student) came back for her return appointment. Her circumstances haven't changed nor the pressure to abort but she told her nurse that she is really connecting with her baby. She started pre-natal vitamins, and has talked with a few friends who are supportive of her continuing. She heard her baby's heartbeat for the first time and took pictures home. Macy said she still needs time to make her decision and agreed to stay connected. Please keep praying that Macy's heart continues to soften toward her child and her resolve to continue will strengthen. --------- "Jaylee" (college student, medical & mental health issues, follows Buddhism) came in for her return appointment and told her nurse that she has an abortion appointment scheduled for next week. She plans on connecting with her OB/GYN the day before her appointment. Her nurse did another ultrasound and let Jaylee know that she still doesn't have a viable pregnancy. Jaylee said she is concerned about that and so doesn't want to go ahead with abortion yet. She is still determined to abort but admitted to feeling sad about her decision and took an ultrasound picture home with her. She declined another appointment but agreed to keep in touch. Pray that God intervenes on behalf of Jaylee and her preborn baby. Pray that because of the pause she is taking to confirm her pregnancy, she changes her mind and carries to term.

"Carrie" is a single mom with a two year old. She had a late-term abortion just last year, which was a horrible experience. Carrie is too early in her pregnancy to confirm viability and primarily wants to abort because she is transitioning into a new job. She does have a supportive family in the area. Carrie needs another ultrasound before making a decision so promised to come in again next week. Please pray for Carrie that she would reconsider her decision to abort. Pray that she comes back and resolves to carry to term. --------- "Coleen" shared with her nurse that she got an abortion last year and is now pregnant again by the same boyfriend. She feels it is best to get another abortion because he wants her to. Coleen shared the news of her pregnancy with a close friend, and that friend referred her to CompassCare. Coleen is genuinely undecided and admitted she's got support if she continues. She agreed to return next week for another ultrasound. Please pray for Coleen as she goes home and thinks about all the information she received. Pray that she does not remain on the fence but determines to keep her baby.
