My cousin in Virginia had the parathyroid surgery and it went well; she is being discharged from the hospital today, PTL! Thank you, saints, for praying. Please keep praying as she is also battling breast cancer and has an appointment to schedule her mastectomy.

"Vickie" has two children at home and feels she cannot provide for another child. She has little support here and is planning on relocating to another city where her family lives. She heard her baby's heartbeat during the ultrasound and this caused her to pause and really consider what she was planning. She intently reviewed the abortion information brochure and asked lots of questions. Her nurse compassionately listened as she shared about the stress she is under and how she's never able to talk about it. Vickie allowed her nurse to pray for her and agreed to come back for another appointment. Please pray for Vickie as she goes home and thinks about her decision. Pray that she would turn to God for relief and comfort. --------- "Salome" came to CompassCare about a year ago and ended up getting an abortion. She had an ultrasound recently but wanted to get a second opinion because she is trying to determine who the father is. One of them wants her to abort, the other doesn't even know about the pregnancy, and Salome declared he is not a person she wants to parent with. During her ultrasound it was determined that she is 11 weeks along with a healthy, strong-looking baby. Salome did say she regrets her surgical abortion last year but feels like she needs to abort again because of her situation. She left immediately after her ultrasound and does not plan to return. Please pray that Salome's heart is softened toward her innocent preborn child. Pray she changes her mind and decides to carry to term.

UPDATE on Dawn P's Dad: Jerry (pancreatic cancer) has recently gained weight and his blood tests are improving, PTL! His physicians are considering Chemo treatments and may begin them as soon as September. Please pray for wisdom with his treatment and God's healing touch.

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: Frank reports that the health of his niece (Cherie) in Florida has improved - praise God! - and she is off the ventilator. They have also been able to reduce the size of her trach tube, allowing her breathing to improve. Please continue to pray for her complete healing. Thank you!

A good friend of ours, Dave Freundschuh, was diagnosed just a few months ago with ALS (Lou Gerigs disease) and has since been moved to the VA hospital in Canandaigua. He seems to have peace with it but please pray the Lord will take away any anxiety, pain or discomfort. He is a believer. Pray he doesn't suffer. He lost his wife just 1 1/2 years ago.
