Please pray for my healing from pneumonia, and for favor with my employer so I don't lose my job. I've been sick for 3 weeks taking antibiotics, but I'm still too weak and congested to work, my doctor says, even though I've tried a few times. Thank you.

Please pray for the Lord to open the understanding of an elderly friend, who is reading Charles Stanley's book about heaven and asking questions. She says she believes that God is the Creator, but is skeptical about the Bible, Christ's resurrection, heaven, etc. Please pray for M's salvation. Thank you, Saints!

Please pray for Julie Doud's mother (Linda B.), who is in the hospital with kidney failure and congestive heart failure and just wants the suffering to end. Julie's praying the Lord will take her Mom Home soon. Certain family dynamics are making the situation even more difficult, so please pray for the Lord's grace and strength and presence with Julie as well.

"Jayden" recently found out she is pregnant and wants to get an abortion. She has a young child at home and experienced extreme morning sickness with her last pregnancy. She told her nurse that her job is stressful and she doesn't think she can handle being sick that way again. After hearing her six-week-old baby's heartbeat, Jayden tearfully admitted to feeling sad because "there is someone there." However, she still thinks abortion is the best decision and didn't want her boyfriend coming in the room because "we've already made up our minds." Jayden refused another appointment because she doesn't want to see her baby again. She professes to know God and said she prays to Him every day. Her nurse encouraged her to ask Him for guidance in this decision. Please pray that Jayden would cry out to her Creator about this life and death decision she needs to make. Pray that her current circumstances would not cause her to make a decision she wouldn't otherwise make. --------- "Sadie" was initially planning to continue her pregnancy but now feels conflicted. She suffers from anemia and feels worn out caring for her young son at home and also working full-time. Sadie confessed that she believes abortion is wrong but just doesn't think she can go through with this pregnancy. Her boyfriend wants her to continue and after seeing the ultrasound of their 8-week-old baby, she admitted, "I don't think I can go through with [an abortion]." She agreed to think over her decision some more and return next week for another appointment. Please pray that God would renew Sadie's strength, both physically and spiritually. Pray that He would reveal Himself to her in a powerful way. --------- "Gina" recently relocated down South and came back to Rochester to visit for a short time. She left the area due to a bad relationship and is really wanting to start over. She has three kids and doesn't feel she can add another child to her life right now. The father of this baby is interested in parenting, but not long distance. Gina had an abortion a few years ago and she doesn't want to repeat that traumatic experience. She is very early in her pregnancy and agreed to return to CompassCare for another ultrasound. Gina told her nurse that she has not sought God in a long time but has been thinking about her kids needing to go to church and allowed her nurse to pray for her. Please pray for Gina as she is trying to manage so many things right now. Pray that she comes back for another appointment and that she decides to carry to term.

"M" stopped by for material aid. She is not interested in spiritual things at this time but is interested in returning for parenting class. Please pray that she might have a desire to know God better. Also, please pray for God’s protection over "T"’s unborn twins - that they will continue to grow and be born healthy. Pray that Mom is able to “rest in Him!” while she awaits their arrival, and for provision of preemie clothing for her babies (boy and girl) that will be delivered later this month.

"Mandy" is a mother and wife working a full-time professional job and hasn't told anyone about her pregnancy yet. She is abortion-determined and still was when she left her appointment, even though she prayed with her nurse at the end. Please pray that Mandy will return for her follow-up appointment. Pray that her heart is opened to understand the Gospel and softened toward her preborn child. -------- UPDATE: "Emily" (has 3 children, wants more) came in with her boyfriend in hopes that the ultrasound would change his mind about abortion. It did not. Emily has shared the news of her pregnancy with a family member who encouraged her to carry to term. She is now faced with a viable pregnancy and just feels absolutely overwhelmed. Emily shed a lot of tears before and after the ultrasound and was encouraged to take more time to make her decision. She was offered another appointment and continued support. Please keep praying for Emily. Pray for courage and a deep conviction that she can and should continue her pregnancy.

UPDATE from Lynn on Kory: My son was given an ultrasound and it was determined that he does NOT have an infection (PTL!), but the theory is that his groin pain is actually a referred pain from his lower spine due to nerve damage from old back injuries (which he probably aggravated working in his yard this summer). We are relieved, and thank you for praying for him!

While mom was in hospice, the nurses, aides and friends that stopped by to visit were so amazed at the love and faith that was displayed by all mom's children who were with her until the very end. Even the other residents would stop by to visit with us. It was such a wonderful time of sharing God's love as we would circle around her bed singing worship songs and praying. One of my sister's friends, Rene, just texted to say that her own mother had a stroke and is declining fast. She said that she was so impressed by the love we shared that she asked us all to pray for her mother. Please keep Rene's mother in prayer, and also for salvation for them both. Praise God that He uses even our darkest hour to bring Him glory when we stand steadfast in Him.
