UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: My sister-in-law Carol has been moved to a nursing home for rehabilitation very close to where she lives in Leroy; that's a big PTL! She will be having PT daily for her broken femur, which is healing, PTL. She has been confused (from repeated falls hitting her head possibly and anesthesia) and will be getting therapy to help with short term memory. She also will get occupational therapy. She has told me she will read my letter when she is more up to it and will get back to me on it; the book of God's Promises was hard for her to concentrate on. The letter has the gospel that I personally shared with her in it. Please continue to pray for physical healing for her and salvation for her and her husband Carl. Thank you, saints!

UPDATE: The rehab center said my mother Ann can stay as long as she continues to make progress and insurance is willing to pay. Praise the Lord! The bad news is someone told my dad that my mom was too well for a skilled facility, and he should look for an assisted living facility. He found one close to where he’ll be living with my brother, but she failed the evaluation and was told she needed a skilled nursing home. Her right hand is improving, as she’s learning to feed herself again. Progress is hampered by her blindness since she can’t see when she doesn’t have food on her weighted spoon. Her sitting upright is affected by her blindness as well because they use a mirror to try to get her to see that she’s tilted. Her standing, which is the big one, is hampered by her overwhelming fear of falling. She refuses to let go of bed rail or wheelchair or whatever she’s got a death grip on when told by physical therapists. It’s making her progress slower than it should be. Thank you for your prayers.

UPDATE ON VALERIE: Praise report, Val's stomach procedure showed nothing wrong with her stomach. The surgeon for the other issue of thickening of the abdominal wall said the scan was inconclusive so he did not want to do any surgery. Please continue to pray for healing, no more pain, and salvation for her. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for my nephew Ryan, who has a video game addition and other challenges. He is 24 years old, suffers from a lack of self-confidence, has dropped out of school on several occasions, and is living at home. Pray for my sister (who is saved) and her husband, that the Holy Spirit guide them through the "proper amount of tough love" and that the bonds of all bondage be broken. Pray Eph 6 be upon Ryan. Thank you, saints.

UPDATES: John Pupparo continues to recover well from his heart attack and multiple heart surgeries, but he would appreciate prayers for weaning off the meds (in God’s timing) since they make him tired and diminish his strength. --------- Walter Lukhoff continues to recover from his stroke, is able now to take walks, and took a weekend trip to visit family. Praise God! However, he still has a lack of feeling in his right arm, so please pray PT will bring his arm back to normal. --------- Please continue to pray for John Barstow (COPD), who is not doing well and needing more assistance.

Our son-in-law's mother had a procedure to repair a valve in her heart early yesterday morning. That went well; she was awake and everything seemed fine, then she had a stroke. They took her to ICU to give her thinners to break up the clots, but later the thinners caused her blood pressure to drop very low and she lost functions, so they had to take her back into surgery and stop the bleeding. The report now is she is doing a little better but the main concern right is to see if she had a bleed in her brain, so they will be doing a scan. Please pray for a healing for her. Please pray that if it is the Lord's will that she be healed, it would be a witness to Jay, because he is not saved and neither is she, so we also pray for her salvation. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for Makhi for the following:
1) continue to gain weight from 12 lbs to 24 lbs;
2) he may be able to sit and eventually walk;
3) he may eat better- a specialist will be supporting this important activity;
4) Nov 7th he is having a pituitary gland test to see if it was damaged.
Also pray for Mom and Dad for continued strength through the ~ 40 doctors/therapy sessions per month. Thank you; Chris and Amy appreciate the prayers!

UPDATE: "Janice" returned for another ultrasound. She has been doing a lot of thinking and although she wants another child she doesn't feel this is the right time. She has a newborn and feels overwhelmed taking care of him. She also wants to be more financially settled before having another child. However, Janice worries she will regret getting an abortion and is afraid it might affect her ability to have children in the future. She agreed to take another week to think about her decision and come back for another appointment. Please continue to pray that Janice will have the courage and strength to carry to term. Pray that God would open her eyes to her need for a Savior.
