UPDATES: Thank you for praying for "Felice" (young college student). She returned for her follow up appointment this week, but unfortunately an ultrasound revealed that the baby had not survived. Patients who express a desire to abort their baby often still struggle when a miscarriage occurs. Please pray with us for Felice to find hope and healing in Christ as she processes this loss. --------- The Lord has answered our prayers for "Jayden" (has young child, stressful job) and "Francine" (late teens, lives w/parents), both of whom wanted abortions but prayed about their situations. They have both found the courage to continue their pregnancies! Jayden told her nurse that God used CompassCare to help her decide to keep her child. All praise to the One who changes hearts and minds!

Please pray for my daughter-in-law Jennifer, who has been battling more than one recurring medical problem. She's finally gotten some answers this week, thank God, but pray that the prescribed treatments are effective in resolving the problems (without causing any others!) and that they don't return. "Mona" recently found out she is pregnant and doesn't want a baby right now. She is a senior in college and working full-time. When discussing abortion with her nurse she became tearful and acknowledged, "this [pregnancy] could be life changing." Although she is not in a relationship with the father of her baby, he said he would support her decision either way. Upon hearing the heartbeat of her 6-week-old baby on the ultrasound, she shed more tears and admitted, "this is hard." She was encouraged to take some time and talk with her family and Mona promised to return next week for another appointment. Please pray that Mona will have the courage to reconsider her initial abortion decision and determine to make an adoption plan or parent her baby. Pray that God would grant her peace and strength.

"Salome" left her initial appointment at CompassCare still determined to get an abortion. She came back this week for her STD test results with a completely different frame of mind. Salome told her nurse she is in prenatal care at a local hospital and is planning to continue now. She brought her little daughter in for the ultrasound and they both saw an active 14-week-old baby on the screen. Praise God for Salome's change of heart! --------- "Mindy" feels she can't have a baby right now. She just moved into town and is still settling into life here. She has a young child at home and feels she is too busy to add another. Mindy heard her baby's heartbeat and asked lots of questions about his health. She has not talked with her boyfriend about the pregnancy but thinks he will want her to carry to term. She shared that she surrendered to Jesus a long time ago but has not been seeking Him lately. She allowed her nurse to pray for her and scheduled an appointment for next week. Please pray for Mindy as she goes home and thinks about the information she received at CompassCare. Pray that she tells her boyfriend and that they both come in for the second appointment.
