Please lift up my coworker Lauri in prayer. She recently lost her husband and is having a hard time dealing with the loss. It's been a few weeks and she's having difficulty getting back on track. I pray that The Lord will give her His Peace and comfort and guide her in next steps. Lord, please show her what you are teaching her in this moment and lead her to better times. In Christ's name, Amen.

UPDATES/PRAISE REPORTS: Carm was in church yesterday, is doing PT on his knee, and reports all is going well, PTL! Vic N. was also in church, looking and feeling so much better, Praise God! He was able to return to work last week, and is rejoicing in the LORD’s love and goodness toward him. My daughter-in-law Jennifer did NOT have gall bladder surgery on Saturday, as we had expected, as she “failed” the definitive test scan Friday p.m. After having fasted all day for the scan, she was feeling much better, until mid-day Saturday after she’d been eating again. Both her MD and the surgeon are out of town right now, so please continue to pray for the LORD’s protection, wisdom, and healing for her. They all are very appreciative of your prayers on their behalf!

UPDATE ON JASON: If the three doctors attending to his care agree on a diagnosis, it may be that he has missed connective tissue disorder, in which case they would give him steroids. If they don't all agree, he may need to have a bone marrow transplant. He will be in the hospital for at least another week. Please continue prayers for Jason and his doctors.

Thank you for your past prayers. Please pray that my daughter and her five children will not have to move back to their home to live with an abusive husband and father. Continued prayer needed for their safety and wellbeing, finances, and healing. Pray for my grandchildrens's souls and a God centered life. We must also pray for their father's soul as he is unrepentant. Pray also for my daughter, as she is questioning the church, especially as it pertains to the roles of men and woman. Much of the abuse she's suffered is from a man claiming to be a Christian who has twisted scripture to give him complete control and authority over his wife, and he finds no lack of other men and "church leadership" to feed into his cult-like belief and behavior. Much prayer is needed about wolves disguised as sheep.

Lord, I wish to pray for our congregation/family that they may all be loved and cared for by our Lord, the Christ. The way they love and care for one another. We may All need this prayer today as I am sure we all could use it. This family has showered me with their love and support as I battled numerous illnesses over the past two months. Lord I pray I never forget the things they have done for me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

UPDATE on Jason: He continues to spike fevers up to 103 degrees, but medication does bring them down, thankfully. They're bringing in specialists to see him and scheduled a CT scan. Please continue to pray that they'll determine the cause of his fevers and discomfort, and for his salvation. Thank you.

"Janet" has an adult child, and a 9 year-old, and now she's pregnant again. Her husband recently lost his job, and Janet's seasonal employment is ending soon. Janet is a loving mother but doesn't see how her family could handle this addition to their financial stress at this time. After hearing the heartbeat of her child, Janet told her nurse, "Now I have to make a decision about something that is real." She did not make another appointment, but was encouraged to call if she had any questions or wanted to bring her husband back. Please pray that the Holy Spirit could penetrate her heart and guide her to truth. ---------- "Dawn" came to CompassCare hoping to get an abortion procedure. When she first found out she was pregnant she planned to carry to term, but changed her mind when her relationship with the father of the baby turned abusive. Dawn was given support and local resources that will help with what she is going through. She had an ultrasound and saw her very active 11 week baby. The tears started flowing when her nurse asked her how she felt about the ultrasound and reviewed her pregnancy options. Dawn could not even stomach reading about surgical abortion. Please pray that Dawn would find the support and encouragement she needs to continue her pregnancy, and that God would give her the faith to submit her life to Him. --------- UPDATE: "Mona" (college senior, working full time) returned for followup, and is still undecided about her pregnancy. She admits to never wanting to be a mom and "deal with a child." She's not sure she could choose adoption because she's afraid she would grow attached to her child. Mona still hasn't told her mom about the pregnancy because she's afraid of the way her mom will judge her. After the ultrasound Mona became tearful and admitted that she has to take more time. She allowed her nurse to pray with her for peace and guidance. Please pray that God would reveal the truth about this situation and His love to her. Pray that she would have the courage to continue this pregnancy.
