Please pray for a young male, who was very fearful, and came in for STD testing. He will meet with one of our male counselors next week for his results. --------- Please pray for "R", who comes for parenting classes, to find Jesus and the peace, strength, and hope He can offer her as she goes through her pregnancy alone. -------- "S" stopped in for material aid for her 9 month old daughter. She expressed an interest in staring parenting classes next week. Pray that she will keep her appointment and that we would be able to encourage her in her parenting.

UPDATE on Jennifer: Further scans ruled out other possible abdominal problems (cyst, duodenal blockage), and confirmed the need for my daughter-in-law to have her gall bladder removed. Laparoscopic surgery is scheduled for October 29. She reports feeling "pretty good", as long as she only ingests liquids. Please continue to pray for her physical well-being and peace. She appreciates the prayer support!

From CompassCare: Please pray for "Grace". She came in thinking she was just a few weeks pregnant but then discovered she is nearly 13 weeks along. Initially Grace told her nurse she is planning to abort, admitting she'd had one two years ago, but she saw her baby on the monitor during her ultrasound and was visibly taken aback. She wasn't able to immediately verbalize her feelings but did agree to take some time to think more about her decision. Grace agreed to return next week for another appointment. Please pray that Grace would return and that she will decide to carry her baby to term.

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: My sister-in-law Carol has been moved to a nursing home for rehabilitation very close to where she lives in Leroy; that's a big PTL! She will be having PT daily for her broken femur, which is healing, PTL. She has been confused (from repeated falls hitting her head possibly and anesthesia) and will be getting therapy to help with short term memory. She also will get occupational therapy. She has told me she will read my letter when she is more up to it and will get back to me on it; the book of God's Promises was hard for her to concentrate on. The letter has the gospel that I personally shared with her in it. Please continue to pray for physical healing for her and salvation for her and her husband Carl. Thank you, saints!

UPDATE: The rehab center said my mother Ann can stay as long as she continues to make progress and insurance is willing to pay. Praise the Lord! The bad news is someone told my dad that my mom was too well for a skilled facility, and he should look for an assisted living facility. He found one close to where he’ll be living with my brother, but she failed the evaluation and was told she needed a skilled nursing home. Her right hand is improving, as she’s learning to feed herself again. Progress is hampered by her blindness since she can’t see when she doesn’t have food on her weighted spoon. Her sitting upright is affected by her blindness as well because they use a mirror to try to get her to see that she’s tilted. Her standing, which is the big one, is hampered by her overwhelming fear of falling. She refuses to let go of bed rail or wheelchair or whatever she’s got a death grip on when told by physical therapists. It’s making her progress slower than it should be. Thank you for your prayers.
