Today, Tuesday December 3rd, I will be having Hernia repair surgery at 10:30 AM. at Highland Hospital. The hernia is large and was due to my Kidney Cancer surgery 1 1/2 years ago. I am told it is very common after robotic surgery. Keep Dawn and I in prayer. God Bless.

"R" continues to come for her parenting classes. We continue to pray for her salvation and for healthy relationships with her family. She is anxious about finances when her son is born and she is out of work for maternity leave. . . . "T" and her son came for material aid. She shared that her husband is divorcing her, her desire would be for their family to be together. We pray for the Lord to heal her broken relationships. . . . Praise the Lord 10 clients in one day! We had two couples come for parenting classes - it is such a joy to watch moms and dads preparing for the birth of their children. We are blessed to show spiritually into their lives. . . . "S" came to the center today with her 10 month old daughter to re-start parenting classes. She is a believer, asked for prayer for her finances since her bank account was recently hacked into and money taken. Praise that "S" has a new job she will be starting at a local call center. . . . "J" came to EO for material aid. Although he doesn’t live with his child and his partner, he continues to support them in every way he can. He said he knows Jesus and has read the Bible several times. Pray he continues his support for his child and that he returns to the center for bible study. . . . "C" came in for STD testing. We pray for the gospel to come alive in this young man. Pray for continued opportunity to speak into his life next week when he returns for the results. . . . "J" and "N" are expecting their second son in January. They visited us today to get a winter coat for their 2 year old son. We referred them to a local church - pray that they will follow through. We also gave J information on upcoming job fair and pray that he will take the steps necessary to provide for his family. We continue to pray for the Lord to work in their lives and are blessed that they have allowed us to walk these past years with them. . . . Our parenting class with "L" was canceled today, she spent yesterday in the hospital. Please pray for this new mom for complete healing and adjustment to having a one month old.

New York Senate bill S660 (aka Boss Bill) was signed into law by Governor Cuomo on Friday, November 8. The bill makes it illegal for pro-life organizations to hire and manage employees based on pro-life beliefs. This is like forcing Italian restaurants to hire chefs who have no intention of cooking Italian food. CompassCare has no other choice but to sue Governor Cuomo as this bill threatens the organization's very existence and the existence of every organization in NY that holds its employees to biblical standards of behavior. Obeying this law would force CompassCare and other Christian employers to violate their beliefs.
The government cannot tell pro-lifers, you and I, how and when we can be pro-life. Government is not the final authority on what beliefs are appropriate for the public square. CompassCare has no intention of compromising its mission by obeying this unjust law and, working with Alliance Defending Freedom, filed suit on November 14. Please pray for wisdom, guidance, and the resources necessary to ensure that Christians in NY can still express their pro-life convictions without penalty.

I just want to praise Jesus for our new Granddaughter Madilyn Jolee Moyer. She was born 3 weeks early but is in good health. My daughter is seeing the hand of God upon her life and giving him the glory as she has shared her experiences. I ask that we could keep the family in prayer for unification as our oldest granddaughter is still in the foster system. Thank you so much for all the prayers and support through this whole ordeal.

Missy came in for a second appointment still unsure about what she wants to do. Although she wants kids some day, she told her nurse she is just not ready for one yet. Her boyfriend has two children already and doesn't really want any more. Missy is trying to get her life in order and is working two jobs to make ends meet. Her pregnancy is still too early to confirm and she was advised to wait to make a decision until after her next visit. Please pray that Missy would reconsider her decision and return for another visit before making any plans for an abortion. Pray that she would talk to her parents and that they would help give her the courage to continue her pregnancy. -------Marjorie came to CompassCare to discuss her options for her unplanned pregnancy. She told her nurse that she is not ready for a baby right now. Her boyfriend is interested in her carrying to term but said he would support her decision. Seeing the ultrasound made the pregnancy more real to Marjorie and she said she needs time to really consider what to do. She wasn't interested in involving God in her decision but did listen as the gospel was presented. Please pray that God would reveal himself to her this week as she tries to think through her options. Pray that Marjorie would return with her boyfriend and they would both determine to protect their child's life.-------Anita has never been pregnant before and shared that she didn't think she ever could because of some medical issues. So she was totally shocked to see a positive test last week. Anita had done a lot of research prior to coming and had made up her mind to abort. Her ultrasound revealed that she is too early in her pregnancy to confirm viability. Anita referred to her baby as a real person and remarked that it's not right to take his life. She said she was glad she came to CompassCare first and found it helpful to talk through her situation. Anita plans on coming back next week to confirm viability. Please pray that her heart softens towards her baby and that she returns to CompassCare, intent on carrying to term. -----Louise came for her appointment, hoping she had miscarried so she wouldn't have to make a decision about the outcome of her pregnancy. She confessed that she doesn't really want to abort but her boyfriend is not really supportive and Louise doesn't want to do this without him. She immediately started crying when she heard her baby's heartbeat during the ultrasound. Now she has to make a choice. Louise says she will have a conversation with her boyfriend soon. Her family all live out of town and she has little other support here. Please pray for Louise, that she would have the courage to continue her pregnancy, no matter what. And that she would come back to CompassCare for further support.

Our family has been under spiritual attack w/ intense medical situations.
Mother, now again ready to be hospitalized for complicated medical issues. Sister- vacillating between ICU, hospital & skilled nursing rehab. Now back in hospital w/ life threatening issues. For the 2 of us- many medical complications & mysteries. Things escalated now
Other family member- dealing w/depression/anxiety & many of us are concerned about reactive negative behavior. So much more. Overwhelming.
Hanging tight on to Jesus & so incredibly grateful for the body of Christ & the prayers of the saints.

Amy has wanted to abort since first finding out about her pregnancy. Her family and boyfriend have talked her out of it several times. Her mom wants another grandchild and her grandmother thinks abortion is wrong. Amy also thinks it is wrong but hopes that God will forgive her if she's remorseful. She is overwhelmed with life right now and is concerned about bringing another child into it. Amy loves her young son and beamed when talking about him to her nurse. Tears flowed freely as she viewed her active 18-week-old baby on the ultrasound.
Please pray for Amy this week. Pray her eyes turn from focusing on her difficult circumstances to regarding the precious nature of the life growing in her. ------------Rachel came back for another appointment and right away said she is now planning on continuing her pregnancy. She gave the father of the baby some space over the weekend and when they talked again he was on board with her carrying to term. Getting his support made all the difference in the world to her. Thank you for praying for Rachel. Pray that God would open her eyes to see Him and that her resolve to carry her baby would not be shaken by anything.
