UPDATE on C4C: Jordan and the team continue to trek in the high mountains, ascending and descending along the mountain trails and into river valleys to reach native villages. The doctors continue to minister to many in the villages and along the way, and the Lord has been opening opportunities for the team to share the gospel through an audio version in Tibetan called "The Treasure". Please continue to pray for safety, strength and good health for team members; for filling of the Holy Spirit so that each member would freely exercise their spiritual gifts; and for more open doors to share Christ and open hearts to receive Him as Lord. Buddhism has a stranglehold on the area.

"Carla" came to CompassCare feeling like she's at the end of her rope. She had an abortion appointment scheduled but cancelled it because she feels so conflicted about her decision. Her family doesn't like her boyfriend, who she has been with for several years, and she has no support from them as long as she stays with him. Finances are tight and Carla recently lost her license, then her job because she couldn't get to work. And now she is pregnant with a 15-week-old baby. Carla told her nurse that she and her boyfriend keep going back and forth about what to do. One day she thinks she can do it, the next she is overwhelmed and has no idea how she could handle a second child. They don't even know how they will pay rent this month...but adoption is not something Carla is willing to consider. After seeing her baby moving on the ultrasound and hearing a strong heartbeat, Carla began to cry, saying she feels hopeless. Her nurse took that opportunity to discuss the Source of all hope. Carla allowed her nurse to pray for her and seemed to appreciate it. She has an appointment later this week at a local women's clinic to discuss abortion. Please pray that that option will seem detestable to her and she would be reminded of her child's image on the ultrasound. Pray that God would awaken hope in her and that He would provide some financial relief.

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: Thank You, Father God; Your name is above all names. Christopher (son; had collapsed lung/surgeries/chest tubes) has gone home from the hospital. Still has some healing to do, but is in wonderful spirits. May Your Holy Spirit continue to work on his heart. Thank you all for praying. The Lord Almighty reigns!

UPDATE on Jordan R. and Climbing for Christ (C4C): Jordan and the team (consisting of 3 Americans, 2 Canadians, and a Hungarian) arrived safely in Nepal and met together to prepare, pray, and begin their travel over the weekend. They began their actual trekking sooner than expected because of a washed-out, impassable "road", but made it safely first to Kathmandu, and then to a town called Jagat, where a pastor lives. (There is no legal recognition of churches in Nepal.) The 2 doctors on the team held a medical clinic for sick members of Pastor Ganesh’s church and they distributed Tibetan audio Bibles. Then they began the trek into the Tsum Valley, where the 2015 earthquake left thousands of people living in tent villages, isolated from the world. They are 100 percent Buddhist. Please continue to pray for the teams' health and strength, and for the Lord's guidance, protection, and anointing upon them as they bring the Gospel to this remote and unreached area of the Himalayas.

"Wendy" is not from Rochester and is in town on a business trip. She recently traveled out of the country and was exposed to a virus that could put her baby at risk of severe deformities. Wendy is not willing to take that chance and wants an abortion. Her boyfriend also wants her to abort. Wendy really engaged with her nurse during her appointment, saw her baby on the ultrasound, and asked lots of questions. She does not have a religious background and did not want to talk about a relationship with God. Wendy did agree to keep in touch but did not make a return appointment. Please pray for Wendy, that her heart would soften toward her preborn child. Pray that she has a radical change of mind.

Please pray for Valerie B.’s breast cancer surgery today to be completely successful. Pray for God's protection from any complications and for healing/recovery also. Thank you! UPDATE: Husband Ken reports surgery went very well & Valerie is expected to go home tomorrow. They appreciate the prayers!

Our friend Sue Hurwitz recently fell. She has bruises on her arms and fractured hip that was just surgically repaired. Sue is now recovering in a nearby rest home. Please pray for her healing, peace & comfort!! Thank you all.
