CompassCare
Amy has wanted to abort since first finding out about her pregnancy. Her family and boyfriend have talked her out of it several times. Her mom wants another grandchild and her grandmother thinks abortion is wrong. Amy also thinks it is wrong but hopes that God will forgive her if she's remorseful. She is overwhelmed with life right now and is concerned about bringing another child into it. Amy loves her young son and beamed when talking about him to her nurse. Tears flowed freely as she viewed her active 18-week-old baby on the ultrasound.
Please pray for Amy this week. Pray her eyes turn from focusing on her difficult circumstances to regarding the precious nature of the life growing in her. ------------Rachel came back for another appointment and right away said she is now planning on continuing her pregnancy. She gave the father of the baby some space over the weekend and when they talked again he was on board with her carrying to term. Getting his support made all the difference in the world to her. Thank you for praying for Rachel. Pray that God would open her eyes to see Him and that her resolve to carry her baby would not be shaken by anything.

Makhi update: He is doing okay, not much improvement though. His weight remains at 12 lbs, praying for 24. He smiles so much and is a delight to those who see him. The OT and PT is going good. Uncertain to what extent and when he will be able to walk or crawl. His mom and dad are leaving for NYC to see a world renown Neurologist in preparation for mediation with the hospital Wednesday. A significant day to discern how the costs of care now and in the future to be covered. Please pray for doctor wisdom, peace in the midst of the anxiety and lack of sleep in general, for nurses to show up when scheduled, emotional, physical and spiritual strength as they prepare for next week. Both Chris and Amy are grateful for prayers. And for a safe trip to and from NYC. Fill them with the joy of the Lord each day. Thank you

UPDATE: Calli originally came to CompassCare back in October because she wanted to reverse the effects of her chemical abortion. The treatments were successful and Calli's baby was saved. Her nurse has been keeping in touch with her over the past several weeks. During a connection with her last week, Calli shared with her nurse that she just scheduled a surgical abortion. She said her relationship with the father of the baby has soured and now she doesn't feel she can continue her pregnancy without him around. Calli was willing to come into CompassCare before her abortion appointment but wasn't willing to cancel it. We asked for prayer, that Calli would change her mind about the abortion. Calli showed up for her appointment and really poured her heart out to her nurse, especially why she is considering abortion again. She saw her baby boy on the ultrasound and listened intently as her nurse offered some tangible help for her current situation. Calli's nurse also shared how God is the best help and support during difficult times and Calli responded with, "how do I hear from God?" Her nurse proceeded to share the Gospel with her and Calli prayed to receive Christ as her Savior. She also said she doesn't feel she can go ahead with an abortion and plans to cancel her appointment. Thank you for praying for Calli! Pray that her resolve to protect her baby boy grows and that her faith in Christ would strengthen.

Please say a prayer for the local christian Rescue Mission which will be feeding and giving a message of hope to 500 homeless men women and children on Wednesday for Thanksgiving, that souls would be saved and the LORD would be there in great power and love! Update - praise report- heart attack - flat line on 11/8 and now...wow!
Christine is now walking from the bed to the chair in her room! Husband Pete and doctors are overwhelmed with her recovery- "this can only be a miracle". Clinically dead, flat line for min 20 minutes 2 weeks ago, potentially brain dead concerns a week ago, now communicating and walking. To God the Glory within their family relationships and to whom they reach through His healing hand. He is alive! Thank you for praying.

Please pray for my aunt & uncle Sheila & Pete for salvation and comfort as they deal with their own medical issues and pending loss of a dear pet and various family members. Pray for Sheila's brother-in-law, who was mistakenly being treated for Lyme disease but now diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Also pray for 10 year old Ethan, Pete & Sheila's grandson, who has had multiple, rare medical problems since birth and now they've discovered his spine is curving into his heart, necessitating corrective surgery. Also, please, please pray for the very difficult situation with my mother and her husband. The Lord knows the needs. Thank you so much.

"Rachel" told her CompassCare nurse that because her boyfriend is not ready for a child, she is not going to continue her pregnancy. She has had a couple of abortions already and said she is familiar with what to expect. Rachel really opened up to her nurse during the second half of the appointment. Her ultrasound showed an early pregnancy and seeing her baby on the screen made it more real to Rachel. So real in fact that Rachel started talking about how she could make another child work while going to school and how her daughter needs a sibling. Because her main pressure to abort is her boyfriend, her nurse encouraged her to come back for another appointment with him. Rachel had a deadline for getting an abortion but after her appointment seems to have slowed down and said she'll come back next week. Please pray for Rachel, her boyfriend, and their preborn child. Pray that all three come back next week. Pray that the parents will choose to protect their child's life.
