"Trina" had an abortion appointment scheduled for the same day as her CompassCare appointment. She has known about her pregnancy for a few weeks and was referred to Planned Parenthood by her doctor. Trina scheduled with CompassCare because she wanted more information before her abortion appointment and hadn't received an ultrasound yet. Trina's tears started flowing during her ultrasound as she heard her baby's heartbeat. She confessed that it's now harder to get an abortion. Her nurse gently inquired about what is causing her to want an abortion and Trina revealed that her boyfriend isn't interested in having another baby. Her nurse shared the Gospel with her and Trina allowed her nurse to pray for her situation. Please pray for Trina this week. Pray that her boyfriend comes to her next appointment and is moved to protect his child and girlfriend from abortion. Pray that, even if he doesn't come or respond positively, Trina will have the courage to continue her pregnancy.

Kara learned she is pregnant just after Christmas and attempted to end it with the morning after pill, without success. She says she can't handle another child with a 6-year-old and a set of young twins at home. Kara's last pregnancy was tough physically, she has a stressful job in retail, and little to no support from her family. On the positive side, her boyfriend and her plan to get married this year and he wouldn't mind having another child. When her nurse shared the Gospel with her, Kara eagerly surrendered control of her life and prayed to receive Christ. Please pray that Kara would take time to really consider the implications of her decision. Pray that she comes back to CompassCare, intent on continuing her pregnancy. ----Jillian came into CompassCare distraught that she is pregnant again. When asked, she confessed her plan to abort but as she spoke, Jillian began to cry, clearly unsettled by the decision. She agreed to an ultrasound and her pregnancy was confirmed as she heard the tiny heartbeat of her 6-week-old baby. Afterwards, and in tears, Jillian whispered to her nurse, "I'm wondering what it would look like if I were to continue the pregnancy." Toward the end of her appointment, Jillian prayed to surrender her life and situation to God's control and prayed with her nurse. She agreed to take the week to process all the information, and come back for a return appointment. Please pray for Jillian, that the Gospel seeds would take firm root in her heart. Pray that she chooses to continue and connects with a MotherCare member at a local church.

From CompassCare: "Andrea" is in high school and just found out she's pregnant. She feels she is too young to be a mother, hasn't told anyone but one friend and a younger sister, and is anxious about her mom finding out saying, "She will flip." Andrea was teary-eyed after seeing the ultrasound of her 6-week-old baby and kept repeating she didn't know what she is going to do. She did ask where she could go if she wants to get an abortion. Andrea told her nurse she has no background in any faith and doesn't think talking to God would help. When her nurse shared about His love for her, she shrugged her shoulders. Please pray for this overwhelmed and confused young woman. Pray that she would tell her mom and would receive support from her to continue the pregnancy. --------- UPDATE: "Gretta" (has a baby, recent abortion) came in for her return appointment and cheerfully told her nurse she is planning to continue her pregnancy and parent. Thank you for praying for Gretta and her baby!
