"Charlotte" told her CompassCare nurse that she is not ready physically or mentally to have a baby. She is not in a relationship with the father and doesn't even want to tell him of the pregnancy. She has had several previous abortions and admitted to some lingering regret over those. Charlotte confessed she feels ashamed that she is in this position again. She also has concerns about her drinking habits and how that will adversely affect her baby. Charlotte explained that when she found out she is pregnant she spent the next hour crying and praying that God would take this from her. Her nurse took that opportunity to share the Gospel with her. When Charlotte left CompassCare she was still leaning towards aborting but said she will take a week to think and come back for another appointment. Please pray that Charlotte would truly consider the full implications of her decision to abort or continue. Pray that she returns next week and that the seeds of the Gospel would take root. -------- Please pray for "Lynn", who recently discovered she is pregnant again. She and her boyfriend just had a child last year and believe it will be too much to have another right now. After talking with her nurse, Lynn admitted it is a hard decision and agreed to take time to process it further. Please pray that she would envision her future with a new baby and courageously choose to continue.

"Beauty" came full of anxiety over her situation. With a history of mental health issues, it was intensely difficult for her to face the reality of her positive pregnancy test. Beauty and her nurse learned that she is indeed pregnant and is approximately 8 weeks along. She had a Christian upbringing but didn't want to talk about religion or church. Beauty told her nurse that she still believes God is good and they prayed together for His wisdom and grace. Please pray for Beauty, that God will break through her darkness to give her hope for herself and for the baby she is carrying. Pray that she returns to CompassCare and also reaches out to one of the mental health professionals her nurse recommended to her. --------- UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: "Amy" (overwhelmed, has young son) ended up connecting with the Buffalo office since she lives out that way. She came in for her third appointment and for the first time had her boyfriend in the room to view the ultrasound. Afterwards, Amy and her boyfriend happily exclaimed that they had decided to continue the pregnancy. Just before she left, Amy said to her nurse, "It helped to take this time and talk this whole thing over. Processing with you helped me so much." Thank you for praying for Amy and praise God for her little one's life being saved from abortion!

"Noel" was brought to CompassCare last week, after being spoken to as she was going into a local abortionist's office. It was clear to her nurse that God had already been working in her life. Although her pregnancy was too early to confirm, it seemed that she was leaning towards continuing her pregnancy. However, when Noel returned a follow-up call, she said she had an abortion appointment scheduled for next week. But she was willing to come into CompassCare first to see if she had a viable pregnancy. She and her nurse heard a strong heartbeat as they watched her baby on the screen. Noel quietly wept throughout the remainder of her appointment. Please pray that Noel's heart will be stirred to protect her child and she will cancel her abortion appointment. Pray that God will give her courage! --------- UPDATES: "Mona" first came to CompassCare three months ago and was planning to have her baby but is now having second thoughts. She is 20 weeks pregnant and doesn't want to be connected with the father of her baby in any way. She did tell her nurse that her family doesn't want her to abort. Mona connected with her baby during the ultrasound and said, "This might be just a phase I'm going through." She admits to feeling depressed and allowed the nurse to pray with her. She said she felt better after her visit. Please pray that Mona would have the courage to continue this pregnancy. Pray that God would grant her peace and work out her situation with the father of her baby. -------- "Janice" (early teens) returned and is still considering abortion. She is concerned about the effect that having a baby will have on her sports career and college plans. Janice still hasn't told her mom and at this point doesn't plan to. Her boyfriend (also young) told his mom and she said she would help them if they kept the baby. She was again encouraged to discuss her pregnancy with her family. Please pray that God would grant Janice peace and work out the details of this difficult situation. Pray that she would have the courage to continue this pregnancy. ---------- PRAISE REPORT: "Carla"'s nurse was finally able to connect with her after several attempts (family rejects boyfriend, felt helpless with job loss & tight finances), and learned that she has decided to continue her pregnancy! (second child) She is following up with an OB/GYN in her area and is excited for what the future holds. Thank you for praying for Carla!
