UPDATE on Josie: She's doing better. The doctors don't know what caused her to vomit blood, but said we could take her home and just keep an eye on her. Praise the Lord, and thank you for all the prayers!

"Mona" came to CompassCare wanting an abortion. She has two young children at home, whom she cares for alone. The father of this baby is not committed to her and doesn't care what she does with the pregnancy. Mona also deals with depression, is working full time, and has plans to go back to school. Her pregnancy is too early to confirm and Mona confessed she is relieved because she doesn't want to get "too attached" to the baby. She left without scheduling a follow-up appointment. Please pray that God would intervene in Mona's heart and thought process right now. Pray that her plans to abort would be thwarted. Pray also that she will come back for another visit.

UPDATE on Val: Very sad today. I just found out that my friend Val, who has been battling rare bile duct cancer for 2 years, passed away Saturday night. She was in a lot of pain on Friday but still kept her positive attitude. I miss her. Please pray for her sons Matthew and Mitchell. They have been amazingly strong throughout these past 2 years. She appreciated all the prayers. Thank you.

"Calli" told her nurse that she doesn't believe abortion is right because it is taking a life, but having another baby right now is hard for her to even consider. She would have family support if she did continue, but she is extremely hesitant to do so. She is too early to confirm viability so she agreed to return in a week for another appointment. After being presented with the Gospel, she asked if she could think about it for a week and talk to her nurse again next appointment. Please pray for Calli this week. Pray that her heart is softened toward her preborn child and her eyes opened to her need for a Savior.

Praise report! My mother Mary Deao is doing well. She has been transferred from ICU to the neurological floor. Today I walked in to find her sitting up, eating soft foods and able to get a few words out. The Lord is doing a mighty work. Pray for continued recovery and salvation. I have a great concern for the safety of my former sister-in-law Sandi and her oldest son and his wife (Jay & Liz). Please pray the Lord will protect them from any physical harm. Sandi's youngest son Matt needs prayer that the Lord would heal his thinking and put him on the right path to get proper mental health help. None of them are believers. Sandi asked for prayers and I told her I would ask prayer warriors to intercede for her. Thank you so much saints!
