"Sasha" came to CompassCare with a friend who could interpret for her. The language barrier made it difficult but her nurse learned Sasha is absolutely terrified of being pregnant and wants an abortion. She convulsively sobbed throughout her appointment. Her pregnancy is too early to confirm, so Sasha agreed to return next week for another appointment. She did say yes to connecting with a MotherCare team member at a local church. Please pray for Sasha's fear to be transformed. Pray that the MotherCare team will be able to connect with her and that she'll return next week. -------- UPDATE: "Leeanne" (scared, graduating, prayed to submit to Christ) came back for her return appointment. She told her nurse she is still undecided, even after seeing her 10-week-old baby on the ultrasound. Leeanne believes she is not ready to be a mom but agreed she should carefully consider her all options again. Please continue to pray for Leeanne. Pray her heart and mind is changed. Pray she returns for another appointment.

"Ivy" came to CompassCare saying she needs an abortion but doesn't want one. She lost both her jobs due to the pandemic and is extremely stressed about the whole situation. With an unplanned pregnancy added to her life, she feels completely overwhelmed. Her ultrasound showed a healthy pregnancy and her nurse went through all her options with her. Ivy then confided in her nurse that she had a chemical abortion a couple years ago and it went horribly wrong, actually threatening her life. She had vowed she would never get another one. Before her appointment was finished, Ivy said she needed to step back a little from her abortion plan and talk things over more with her boyfriend. Please pray that Ivy will change her plan to abort. Pray that she will courageously choose to continue, protecting her own health and the life of her child.

"Ebony" feels that due to her age and the age of her current children, this pregnancy is too risky and disruptive. She is seriously considering abortion but wanted to find out how far along she is. After her ultrasound, Ebony said that hearing her baby's heartbeat makes this a harder decision. She told her nurse that she has quit drinking, just in case she continues her pregnancy. Her boyfriend came in for the ultrasound. He has said this is Ebony's decision and he will support her either way. She agreed to come back for a return appointment. Please pray for Ebony while she thinks through her decision. Pray that fear and shame would not drive her to abort her preborn child. Pray she determines to continue her pregnancy. ---------

UPDATE: "Ruby" (overwhelmed, not sure who baby's father is, history of abortion) returned to CompassCare for another appointment. She said she only came for her test results and wasn't going to stay. But then she told her nurse she is in a dangerous domestic situation. She cried as her nurse told her that, "wherever you find yourself right now, there is hope. There is a way out; it doesn't have to be this way anymore." Ruby said she had to leave and made an abrupt exit. As she walked out, her nurse mentioned safe housing options and Ruby asked her to text her the info. Please continue to pray for Ruby. Pray the Lord will protect her and lead her to safety. Pray that she will reach out to her nurse for help and this moment would be a major turning point in her life.

Please pray for safety, wisdom, and strength for Lisa A. (a hospital nursing supervisor), and for all the health care & service workers "on the front lines" meeting the needs of others during this pandemic. Also, pray for the Lord's healing touch upon Fred & Dawn W., who have been ill with flu-like symptoms (negative for Covid-19), and for Kathy B., who has been battling a persistent cough. Prov. 1:33, "But whoso hearken unto Me shall dwell safely, and be quiet from the fear of evil."

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: Brittney continues to do well in the missionary outreach in Israel. They needed to split the outreach team because of the coronavirus causing restrictions at the medical camp and home confinement, but the team is not discouraged but more resolute than ever. They are very appreciative for the prayer support for their safety and the success of their mission.

Please pray for my friend Chris's aunt Ann, who is on a respirator with Covid -19. She has been on the respirator for 10 days, was given the malaria drugs, and is not improving. Ann is saved, has signed a DNR, and will have the respirator removed in two days. We are praying for a complete recovery and guidance for her husband Ron and four adult children. Thank you.

Brothers and sisters in the Lord, please pray for Ken Ham and the people who oversee the Ark and Creation Museums. Due to the coronavirus crisis, both locations are closed for now and staff members had to be let go. Please pray that the Lord would continue to grant to Ken Ham and all those involved His wisdom, guidance, and provision, and both the Ark and Creation Museum could recover financially when they reopen. Thanks so much!

UPDATE: Makhi is such joy and a miracle, a reminder of God's love! His parents report they are planning to travel to Ohio for his tracheotomy removal in 2-3 months, so continued prayers for their safety and a successful next step are sought. Mom and dad are very grateful for prayers.

God is working among us every day. Thanks be to God for His healing touch.

"Ruby" initially came to CompassCare a couple weeks ago, pregnant, overwhelmed, and not sure who the father of the baby is. Her pregnancy was very early so she returned for a follow-up appointment this week. A heartbeat was heard and her nurse shared that she is about 5.5 weeks pregnant. Ruby told her nurse that she is excited about her pregnancy, but has a history of abortion and mentioned ending her pregnancy numerous times during her appointments. She was not interested in discussing her options with her nurse. Please pray for Ruby. Pray she will return and open up to her nurse. Pray that this time, she will decide to protect her child. -------- "Leeanne" is graduating this spring and just found out she is nine weeks pregnant. She confided to her nurse that she is extremely scared and feels she needs to get an abortion because of her age. Leeanne didn't say much upon seeing the image of her healthy baby on the ultrasound, but did reiterate her fear. She hates all of her options, seeing none of them as ideal. When her nurse shared about the peace that Christ offers when we surrender control of our lives to Him, Leeanne smiled and told her nurse she'd like to submit her life to Him. They prayed together. Afterwards, she looked up at her nurse and smiled, saying she finally felt some peace. Leeanne agreed to take this week to consider her options and plans to return next week for a follow-up appointment. Please pray for courage for Leeanne. Pray that her mother, who doesn't know about the pregnancy yet, will support her continuing. Pray she returns next week, intent on carrying to term.
