"Salina" came in with her boyfriend. She told her nurse that she isn't sure she is ready for a baby because she wants to continue her education and pursue a career. Salina agreed to an ultrasound, and saw her healthy 7-week-old baby on the screen. Afterwards she confessed she felt confused and unsure about what she wanted to do. Her nurse shared the Good News of relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Salina smiled and declared, "That's exactly what I need right now!" She prayed for the Lord's forgiveness, for a fresh start, and for His direction. Please pray for Salina as she begins her walk with the Lord. Pray that she relies on God for the strength and courage to carry her baby to term.

Sasha answered her phone when her nurse called and said she is doing okay. She isn't able to come for her return appointment this week but rescheduled for next week. Sasha's MotherCare mentor has connected with her and she is grateful for that budding relationship! Thank you for your ongoing prayers. Please pray that Sasha will return and will decide to continue her pregnancy.

"Holly" sat down in the exam room and started listing the reasons she can't continue her pregnancy. She had come to CompassCare before and so this was the first place she thought of when she found out she is pregnant. Holly is in an abusive relationship and struggling to make ends meet as a single mom. She is too early in her pregnancy to confirm and so scheduled a return appointment for next week. Please pray that Holly will take the steps outlined by her nurse to safeguard herself and her family. Pray she returns next week. -------- UPDATE: Thank you for praying for "Elana" (has 2 grade school children). She returned for her follow-up appointment and shared with her nurse that she changed her mind and is going to continue her pregnancy. When asked why this change of heart, Elana said that her belief in God was the key factor. They rejoiced together over the phone. Sadly, a few days later when her nurse made a follow-up call she learned that Elana just suffered a miscarriage. Thank you for your continued prayers for Elana. Please pray for healing, hope, and a renewed relationship with Jesus.

Update on my friend: Jacob is now in ICU and will likely be placed on a ventilator soon. Regarding his wife, it is pretty likely she is also infected but they refused to do testing on her. She is quarantined and is fatigued with a cough & can stay home to recover as long as nothing changes with her breathing. Please pray for them both!! This has also been taxing Jacobs already damaged kidneys and he could possibly need dialysis soon.
