CompassCare
"Sadie" came to CompassCare saying she needs to have an abortion because "the world is ending." COVID-19 and its rippling effects have left her feeling fearful about her life and future. While the father of the baby is supportive and she has adequate income, she feels she cannot continue her pregnancy in a world that feels upside down. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm and Sadie showed concern for her baby: a moment when her maternal instincts showed through. Please pray Sadie is responsive to follow-up from her nurse. Pray she is able to find peace with and through God.

He reports he's having pain in his foot and had an x-ray last week. Please pray he gets some conclusive results soon and a proper course of treatment. Also, he lost a crown and the dentist had said he would probably need the tooth extracted. Please pray for proper and timely treatment with that also.

"Allison" is a recent college graduate. She took a home pregnancy test and was devastated to learn she is pregnant. She came in to CompassCare to find out how far along she is. Although the father of the baby would like to raise their child, Allison is afraid to tell her parents about the baby. She feels they would urge her to have an abortion because they do not approve of the father. She told her nurse she is considering getting a chemical abortion if she is able to. Allison was surprised to see an active 10-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen. A chemical abortion is available to her up to 10 weeks gestation, but not beyond that. She feels an urgent need to get a chemical abortion this week because she is afraid to have a surgical abortion. When her nurse shared about the love God has for her, Allison agreed she needs His guidance and was willing to pray with her nurse. Please pray Allison does not go through with her plans to get an abortion this week. Pray she returns to CompassCare for her test results and more support. UPDATE: Allison called CompassCare asking for her ultrasound information to take with her to her abortion appointment this week. Her nurse explained how an abortion could jeopardize her future health. She then explained the value of keeping her return appointment at CompassCare. Allison agreed to come in for another ultrasound the day before her abortion appointment. Please pray Allison keeps her appointment and does not follow through on her plans to get an abortion.
