CompassCare

"Kait" heard about CompassCare through a friend who had a positive experience as a patient in the past. When she saw her positive pregnancy test she was shocked. At her age, she didn't expected to be pregnant again. She immediately felt fearful and could not envision her family life with two much older children and a new baby. The father of the baby is not supportive of her and told her, "Do what you want." Kait shared with her nurse that she had a surgical abortion a few years ago and does not want to repeat the experience. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm and she agreed to return for a repeat ultrasound and some testing. She allowed her nurse to pray for her and said she has faith God will give her peace and direction. Please pray Kait has the courage to continue her pregnancy and care for her growing family. -------- Will you also pray for "Rayelle"? She came in for her third appointment, seeking to confirm her pregnancy. Knowing CompassCare does not offer or refer for abortion, she continues to come back because she trusts CompassCare's services. She finally heard her baby's heartbeat during the appointment and was affected emotionally. When Rayelle's nurse asked her what she is thinking, she said she is still considering abortion because the father of the baby is not committing to her or the baby. She feels his support would help her decide to continue this pregnancy. She said she does have the support of her family. Her nurse offered her another appointment and suggested inviting the father. Please pray Rayelle bonds with her baby and chooses to continue her pregnancy.

"Cindy" is a college student who recently found out she is pregnant. She came to CompassCare accompanied by the father of the baby and her mom. She explained to her nurse that she is considering getting an abortion because having a baby would interrupt her college education and she feels fearful about being a mother. She feels conflicted, however, saying she "doesn't want to kill her baby."

When they saw her ten-week-old baby during the ultrasound, everyone in the room had a positive reaction. When discussing medical information about abortion, Cindy's boyfriend and mom both became concerned about the impact abortion could have on Cindy's physical and mental health. They both expressed a desire for her to continue her pregnancy. Cindy said she feels undecided but agreed to take a week to consider her decision. Please pray Cindy's ambivalence and fear is transformed into confidence. Pray she resolves to continue her pregnancy and her boyfriend and mom are able to support her effectively. -------- UPDATE: When her nurse followed up with "Josie" (unaffected by the sight of her ten-week-old baby during previous ultrasound) Josie told her she'd gotten a surgical abortion and was doing fine. Please pray for Josie's heart to be awakened to God's truth and grace. Pray the seeds sown during her appointment are watered by other Christians she encounters.

Please pray for Don’s sister, Dianne. Also the family. She’s been sick & in & out of hospitals & nursing home since last November 2019. She’s only 70 years old. We’ve made every effort we can. Her health continues to decline & additional conditions crop up. She’s not saved & completely opposed to hearing any mention of the Lord. Her family isn’t saved either. 2 adult children & a large group of grandchildren & “significant others”. We’re weary, but not giving up this battle. Our hope, of course, is she & her family would accept Jesus as their personal Lord & Savior. But also for so much physical, emotional, spiritual healing to Dianne & all her family. The enemy has had his way with them for far too many years. Please pray as the Lord leads you. Many thanks.

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: My son Kory (and his family) is doing so much better now that he's home from the hospital! He told me he could really feel the prayers, which kept him going, and one of the doctors (he had at least 4!) expressed his surprise at how quickly the surgical wound in his knee was healing. And the bacteria causing the bone infection is NOT antibiotic resistant, PTL!, so he is expected to make a full recovery. PRAISE GOD from whom all blessings flow!! And thank you all for your prayers!!

Will you pray for Darla? She came to CompassCare looking for more information on abortion. She is raising two children and working part-time. Her boyfriend's job is unstable and she is concerned about their financial situation. She is worried parenting a third child will burden them financially. She also expressed concern that the demands of caring for a baby would rob her children of the attention they need and interfere with her ability to care for her own well-being. She thought getting an abortion could be the solution. When asked for her thoughts after the ultrasound, Darla began to cry and said it was hard to see her baby and hear his heartbeat. She said it made it seem like she was ending a human life that has already started to grow. She agreed she needed to take time to make a thoughtful informed decision instead of one based on emotion. Tears formed in Darla's eyes again as her nurse shared about God's desire to help her with this life changing decision. She told her nurse she is "hard-headed" but acknowledged her need for God's direction. She decided to surrender control of her life to Jesus Christ. Please pray for God to empower Darla to choose life for her child and give her peace about her growing her family.

Thank you for praying for Kelly. Surprised to be pregnant after being told she would never have children, she came to her first appointment feeling conflicted and considering abortion. She was very impacted by seeing her baby during the ultrasound. She returned for her second appointment. When her nurse asked her how she was feeling about her pregnancy, she said, "I guess I'm going to have a baby!" Kelly told her nurse that she was terrified of the unknown initially but now feels more confident. With her mom's encouragement she realized, "I could do this." She has already sought care with an OB and the father of the baby is supportive as well. Praise the Lord with us for turning Kelly's heart and moving her from fear to confidence!

DANA PELLICCIA

Please pray the Lord to fully heal my mom. They are trying to find the cause of her abdomen pain. The cat scan didn't show anything. They "think" the liver is the issue. Praying all tests come back with only good results. All things are possible with God and He can heal anyone from any thing. I also pray healing for Tony, my dad, Muriel and Mr Peown.

Please pray for my niece Courtney. She will be 33 yrs old this Sunday 8/16. After 4 years in remission from non-hodgkins lymphoma, she was diagnosed last week with stage 4 breast cancer, and it has moved to her liver too. Today she starts chemo and is looking at surgery in near future. Courtney is my brother's daughter and she is 2 weeks older than my son. She has a little 2 yr old girl Kaiya who is just precious! Please pray that this whole ordeal will bring my unsaved family to Lord's salvation, and that the Lord will use this for His glory. Please pray also that He would make His will for her life known and to not fear, and that He is by her side pulling her through this. And lastly, God willing, please heal her of all cancer in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Please pray for Yolanda P.'s granddaughter Marissa, who has two small tumors on her pituitary gland, but biopsy isn't scheduled until over a month from now. Pray they are benign, and for peace for Yolanda and the family. Also, Yolanda asks prayer for her friend Sandy, who is a cancer survivor, but is showing problems with her platelets now. Pray for wisdom for her doctor, and that the problem isn't serious. Thank you.
