"Mia" is a previous patient who decided to carry to term and now is pregnant again. She stated she is getting an abortion this time because her family is not accepting of her relationship with the father of the baby. Mia's pregnancy was too early to confirm with an ultrasound. As she and her nurse talked, Mia admitted she doesn't believe in abortion but she has asked God to forgive her for what she is about to do. When she continued to share her thoughts with her nurse, she became emotional and talked about her sister who still regrets getting an abortion. "I believe in God," Mia said. "I know I need to trust Him and not lean on my own understanding." She agreed to take more time to consider her decision, saying the appointment helped her see things differently. Please pray God directs Mia's path and gives her the courage to continue this pregnancy. Pray for her nurse as she continues to converse with her during follow-up.

"Beauty" came to CompassCare feeling conflicted and considering abortion. She is raising four children and almost died this spring after losing a full-term baby due to complications. It was her second time losing a child at the end of a pregnancy. The father of one of her children was also violently killed a few years ago. All of this tragedy has left Beauty feeling overwhelmed with fear. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm with an ultrasound. She told her nurse she is thinking of having an abortion to get relief from the tension and anxiety she feels about being pregnant. "I think about the boys I lost every day," she told her nurse. She feels uncomfortable with the idea of abortion, though, and the possible impact it could have on her mental health. "I'm a Christian," she said. "I will pray and ask God for wisdom."
Please pray for Beauty as she faces her fears. Pray God gives her the wisdom she is asking for and gives her the strength she needs.

UPDATE: "Allie"'s nurse received a records request from her OB/GYN and immediately called her to get an update on her plans. At Allie's last visit she said she had an abortion scheduled for later that week and was determined to abort her twins. Allie is still pregnant and going to her doctor for prenatal care but hasn't fully decided on what she is going to do. Thank you for praying! God is still working on her, and she still needs prayer. Please continue to pray for Allie, that she would firmly resolve to carry her twins to term.
