CompassCare
"Trish" came to CompassCare to better understand abortion and confirm her pregnancy. She is in her late thirties and considers this a bad time to have a child. She is unemployed and not in a relationship with the father of the baby. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm. When discussing abortion with her nurse, she said she had been researching abortion and thought it might not be a good choice for her due to a pre-existing medical condition. She did quit smoking in case she decides to continue the pregnancy. She declined listening to a presentation of the Gospel but did allow her nurse to pray for her. Please pray for Trish to embrace her child as a gift from God and continue her pregnancy. -------- "Lauren" has mental health difficulties and currently lives in a shelter with her one-year-old child. She is considering abortion because she is working on getting her own place and feels a baby would be a setback to her progress. The father of the baby moved out of town and she has little support from anyone else. Lauren's ultrasound revealed a thirteen-week-old baby. When discussing surgical abortion, Lauren found the details of the procedure distressing. She and her nurse discussed her other options as well as the Gospel. She allowed her nurse to pray with her. She said she would keep in touch but declined making a return appointment. Please pray that Lauren takes advantage of the supports available to her and resolves to continue her pregnancy. Pray her nurse has wisdom for follow-up conversations.

UPDATES: Mike G. expects to be discharged from the hospital this week and is having a wheelchair ramp built at his home. He will be starting physical therapy again with the goal of eventually being able to get around just using a walker. Please pray for that. ------- Ann Cristo (hip fx., surgery) continues to experience a great deal of pain, especially when using a walker, but continues with PT in a local nursing home/rehab facility. She & daughter Mary Ellen greatly appreciate all the prayers and well wishes.

Please pray for my son Eric, who is struggling with major mental health issues. He currently is living in an abandoned house. Today he had an appointment for evaluation. Please pray that they will keep him. They admit him and then let him out far too soon due to insurance issues. He needs long term treatment.

She's having PT and is grateful for the prayers as she recovers and heals at home.

CompassCare
"Cherise" came to CompassCare overwhelmed and distraught. She recently ended her relationship with her boyfriend who she was living with. She is pregnant and she does not have stable housing for herself and two other children. Her parents paid for a hotel for a few days but they are unable to provide long term housing. Cherise told her nurse she is thinking seriously about getting an abortion, but would continue her pregnancy if her situation were less chaotic. Her nurse talked with her about several options, including support from MotherCare volunteers. Cherise responded positively to hearing the Gospel but said she needs time to consider surrendering her life to Christ. Since that appointment, Cherise's nurse communicated with MotherCare volunteers and found two housing options for her. Cherise is thinking about moving in with one of these volunteers in the next few days with her children. She also has a return appointment scheduled later this week. Please pray for Cherise to have clarity and courage during this difficult time. Pray for the MotherCare volunteer who will receive Cherise into her home to have grace and wisdom in this new relationship.

CompassCare
"India" found CompassCare online and came in to confirm her pregnancy. She is undecided about carrying to term because the father of the baby is abusive. She has an order of protection against him and is raising her children without family support. India is worried about being tied to the father of the baby and thinks getting an abortion could be the best choice. However, she is hesitating because she had several abortions in her past. India's pregnancy was too early to confirm. When she and her nurse discussed her thoughts on the situation, India said she has been praying about what to do. When her nurse shared the Gospel with her, India decided to recommit her life to Christ. She scheduled a return appointment and expressed interest in support from a MotherCare group. Please pray for India's safety and peace of mind. Pray she is strengthened in her relationship with Christ and decides to protect the life of her child.

UPDATE/PRAISE: Kevin looks and feels better, Praise God!, and has been able to eat again after 9 days on only liquids. This week's lab results also show improvement, so we believe he has "turned the corner" and will not need hospitalization. Thank you for praying!!
