Please pray for Matt K., who has a heart valve problem which may require surgery. Pray for the Lord's continued guidance and peace for him. Also, please pray for John & Roseann B., who are being treated for colds/bronchitis. Pray for healing, strength, peace & comfort for them. ------ UPDATE: Mike G. is home from the hospital, but continues to struggle with mobility problems. Please pray for strength and encouragement and healing for him also. Thank you.

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: Thank you for praying for "Darla". She came to CompassCare thinking aborting her third child would help her family thrive. She told her nurse she felt raising another child would burden her family financially and would rob her two older children of the love and attention they need. When she met her baby through ultrasound, she was profoundly effected. "It seems like I would be ending a human life that has already started to grow," she told her nurse through tears. Her nurse shared the Gospel with her and Darla agreed she needed to surrender her life to Christ and prayed in the exam room to receive salvation. She committed to taking more time to consider the best decision for her pregnancy. She came to a return appointment a week later and said she had decided to keep her baby. Praise the Lord for His miraculous working! Thank God for giving Darla the confidence to welcome this new child into her family. Pray her relationship with Christ grows as she prepares for the arrival of her precious baby.

Praying the Lord to help with our sadness of the loss of our mother. Asking His blessings, favor, provision, and guidance for the sale of my mom's home. It would be a blessing beyond measure if we were to get what we have discussed with a prospective buyer. Praying we hear a yes! Accepting the offer from this couple. It would provide my brother with financial security and a place to live and alleviate some financial pressures for us. Thank you.

"Jasmine" recently found out she is pregnant. Although she feels confident she could care for a child, she is not in a relationship with the father and doesn't want a child. She came to CompassCare to discuss her options. After seeing her 10-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen and learning about the risks of abortion, she paused. Her sister had an abortion has lived with regret. She was interested in pursuing an adoption plan saying, "I think I'd like to help someone else out." Please pray for Jasmine to fully resolve to protect the life within her. Pray God illuminates a path in front of her that glorifies Him and honors what He has made.

"Denise" came in for her second appointment. She portrays a very tough exterior but seems dejected in quieter moments. She has been a patient at CompassCare in the past and chose abortion multiple times. Denise is early in her pregnancy and was glad to hear the baby's heartbeat. She is adamant about keeping her baby but is being heavily pressured to abort by the father of the baby and her mother. She said, "I don't need anyone. I'm better off by myself." Please pray Denise would remain steadfast in her commitment to carrying her child and she is able to take advantage of the supports available to her through CompassCare. Pray she would acknowledge her need for God and receive His life-changing love.

Sharon asks for prayer because of severe pain from a rotator cuff problem. She is awaiting insurance approval to see a surgeon (has appt in Nov.), but current attempts at pain control have been insufficient. Please pray for the Lord's grace and healing touch, and wisdom for her doctor in treating the pain.
