CompassCare

"Mona" suspected she was pregnant and the pregnancy test confirmed her suspicions. She has a school-aged child and she's not sure she wants to have to worry about day care and caring for a baby again. She is in school working on her Bachelor's degree. She admits to wanting another child, but isn't sure it's the right time. Mona's ultrasound showed that she is too early to confirm viability and she was reassured that she has time to make her decision. She professes to being a Christian and agreed that God is in control. Please pray that she would have the courage to continue this pregnancy. Pray that she would return next week to further consider her options. --------- "Jasmine" is 16 weeks pregnant and planning to get an abortion. She actually had an abortion appointment 3 weeks ago but did not keep it. When she went back to the clinic yesterday, she was told they could not do an abortion because she was too far along. She asked them to tell her the gender of her baby but they would not tell her. The abortion worker told her, "You should go to CompassCare." When Jasmine spoke with her nurse, she said she felt confused about what to do. She is already raising two children and the father of this baby has two other children. She is strained by her circumstances, being new to the Rochester area, pursuing a degree and dealing with legal issues with the father of one of her children. "This is tough. I can feel the baby moving." Jasmine agreed with her nurse that God brought her to CompassCare for a reason. She agreed to return for another appointment next week to talk further. Please pray Jasmine resolves to protect the life of her child regardless of the gender and comes to know Jesus Christ as her Savior. -------- UPDATE: "Vicky" came back for STD results and a second ultrasound. She began to cry during the ultrasound and her nurse asked her what she was feeling. "It's my baby," she said, going on to say she feels very overwhelmed by her circumstances but doesn't know if she could get an abortion. She and her nurse talked about trusted family and friends she could turn to for support and spent time updating her Personal Resource List. She agreed to take another week to consider what to do and allowed her nurse to pray for her. Please pray her heart continues to soften and her confidence increases.

UPDATE on baby Makhi: Per Amy (mom): "Thursday 11/5...During a visit at Cincinnati hospital this week, his airway is so bad that they couldn’t start his surgeries (giving him steroids in his trach area to prevent closure) this week. They think someone got him sick and that's what's causing his swollen airway and granulation tissue. They have to call cardiac team to test his heart to put him on a special antibiotic for a month or so and hopefully they can start next time we come. Friday 11/6- So his EKG didn't go as well as hoping so he cannot go on that medicine and has to meet with the cardiologist next time we come we keep getting worse news."

The family is weary. Appreciate prayers for physical, emotional and spiritual renewal for today. Thanks.

Caring Choices Pregnancy Help Center

We recently hired an ultrasound sonographer and are excited to be offering free first trimester ultrasounds once again at the Rochester Center! We had 3 clients scheduled to come for ultrasounds, but one called saying she didn’t come because she had a miscarriage. Please lift this young woman up in prayer that God would be her strength and comfort in the days ahead. Please pray that through our ultrasound program we would draw many more pregnant women to our center to view the amazing life growing within! -------- Please pray for "M", who visited our Webster center for material aid. Pray for her health and growth for her unborn baby as this is considered a high-risk pregnancy and she is having a great deal of pain.

CompassCare

UPDATES/PRAISE REPORTS: "Ella" (has 2 children, been many years with baby's father) was considering abortion because of the shame she felt over being pregnant again. Over the last several weeks, she missed appointments at CompassCare but responded to nurses following up by phone and text. She returned to CompassCare for another ultrasound with her sister. She told her nurse she has decided to continue her pregnancy and had a virtual appointment with her OB. "Do you know how many abortions I've had?" she asked. Ella has been a patient at CompassCare for every one of her pregnancies. Her nurse printed out her patient record and showed it to her. When Ella saw the number of abortions she'd gotten, she said, "This is terrible. It's so sad." As her nurse talked with her, she asked her what influenced her to make a different choice this time. "This...," she said, gesturing to the list. "I can't do this again." As her nurse shared the gospel with Ella, she said she talks to God all the time but has never said "yes" to Him. She reached out for her nurse's hands and said, "I'm ready." They prayed together for Jesus to wipe away all shame, forgive every sin and heal Ella's broken heart. Praise God for this miraculous heart transformation and the joy of seeing a fragile life protected and cherished. Please pray for Ella to grow and flourish in her new life with Christ. --------- At first "Trish" was considering abortion because of her unemployment and is not in a relationship with the father of the baby. However, as time went on and she was able to see her child developing on the ultrasound screen, she began to soften towards the idea of motherhood. Knowing she may not get another chance to have a child at her age (late 30's), she felt the weight of her decision. Praise God, Trish has decided to continue her pregnancy! She came to her third appointment and brought her sister and nephew to meet the newest member of their family via ultrasound. They are all excited to welcome this child into their lives. Please continue to pray for Trish to be strengthened and prepared for the journey ahead of her.
