UPDATE: Thank you to all who pray for my son Kevin. The doctor is very concerned about his current condition and failure to improve, and plans to see him this Thursday and, most likely, admit him to the hospital for tests and treatment. Please pray for God's healing touch, peace, and protection for Kevin, and wisdom for his doctors. We are very grateful for your prayer support, and know God is in control!!

CompassCare

UPDATE/Praise Report: You have been praying for Allie since September 3. She came to CompassCare for three appointments, never expressing a commitment to carry her twins to term and in fact scheduled an abortion for September 23. In an answer to prayer, Allie cancelled that abortion appointment. However, she continued to vacillate about choosing life or death for her two growing children. After having mixed success keeping in touch with Allie by phone for several weeks, Allie's nurse prayed she'd get an opportunity to talk with her again. The phone rang in the nurse's office soon after: it was Allie. When asked how she was doing, she explained she is still in relationship with the father of the twins, has told her mother about the pregnancy, and is searching for an OB/GYN who will deliver at Strong Hospital. "The twins might come early, so I need a doctor who will deliver there," Allie said, clearly expressing her intention to raise her twins. She plans to come in to CompassCare for continued support. Allie's nurse writes, "We praise God for this, and for His gracious love that allowed us to know!" Thank you for praying and continue to pray Allie's life comes into alignment with God's purposes more and more.

"Mona" suspected she was pregnant and the pregnancy test confirmed her suspicions. She has a school-aged child and she's not sure she wants to have to worry about day care and caring for a baby again. She is in school working on her Bachelor's degree. She admits to wanting another child, but isn't sure it's the right time. Mona's ultrasound showed that she is too early to confirm viability and she was reassured that she has time to make her decision. She professes to being a Christian and agreed that God is in control. Please pray that she would have the courage to continue this pregnancy. Pray that she would return next week to further consider her options. --------- "Jasmine" is 16 weeks pregnant and planning to get an abortion. She actually had an abortion appointment 3 weeks ago but did not keep it. When she went back to the clinic yesterday, she was told they could not do an abortion because she was too far along. She asked them to tell her the gender of her baby but they would not tell her. The abortion worker told her, "You should go to CompassCare." When Jasmine spoke with her nurse, she said she felt confused about what to do. She is already raising two children and the father of this baby has two other children. She is strained by her circumstances, being new to the Rochester area, pursuing a degree and dealing with legal issues with the father of one of her children. "This is tough. I can feel the baby moving." Jasmine agreed with her nurse that God brought her to CompassCare for a reason. She agreed to return for another appointment next week to talk further. Please pray Jasmine resolves to protect the life of her child regardless of the gender and comes to know Jesus Christ as her Savior. -------- UPDATE: "Vicky" came back for STD results and a second ultrasound. She began to cry during the ultrasound and her nurse asked her what she was feeling. "It's my baby," she said, going on to say she feels very overwhelmed by her circumstances but doesn't know if she could get an abortion. She and her nurse talked about trusted family and friends she could turn to for support and spent time updating her Personal Resource List. She agreed to take another week to consider what to do and allowed her nurse to pray for her. Please pray her heart continues to soften and her confidence increases.
