"Ivy" is in her second trimester and feeling conflicted about her pregnancy. At the end of September, she went to Planned Parenthood for a chemical abortion. She took the first set of pills at the office but vomited quickly afterward. She took the second set at home and believed she had symptoms of an abortion. She believed the abortion was complete and did not go for her follow-up appointment at Planned Parenthood. Weeks later, her pregnancy symptoms returned and she went back to Planned Parenthood where they informed her she was 17 weeks along. They advised her to schedule another abortion but she declined. Ivy's mother was pressuring her to get the abortion and she lied to her, saying it was taken care of. However, she came to CompassCare for help when she started to feel the baby moving. She had a mixed reaction to the ultrasound, saying it would be a mistake to continue the pregnancy and a mistake to get an abortion. Through tears she said, "It's a living, moving person." Please pray for Ivy to resolve to protect the life of her baby. Pray the seeds of the gospel sown by her nurse would take root and grow.

"Hannah" is a single mom considering getting an abortion. When discussing medical history, she said she has two abortions in her past and found them emotionally difficult. Looking back, she said, "I took life." Right now, it's hard for Hannah to have confidence about continuing her pregnancy. The father of the baby broke up with her, leaving her alone to decide about abortion. When her nurse shared about God's love for her, she said she recommitted her life to Christ two years ago and knows her life does not match her beliefs at the moment. Please pray for God to draw near to Hannah as she draws near to Him. Pray she has confidence to carry this pregnancy to term. -------- "Marissa" is parenting a young child and finds herself pregnant again. The father of the baby told her he doesn't want the child and he will "resent it" if she keeps the baby. Bewildered, she said to her nurse, "I don't know how someone could resent such a gift." However, she hasn't ruled out getting an abortion because now doesn't feel like the right time to start raising another child. Marissa explained she considers herself a Christian but struggles to integrate her faith into her life. She got an abortion in the past, actively overriding her sense that it was wrong. She has not been to church since she got divorced, feeling too ashamed to enter the building. She allowed her nurse to pray with her and agreed to come back in a week as her pregnancy was too early to confirm viability. Please pray for Marissa to earnestly seek God's will and to decide to continue her pregnancy.

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: "Jessica" came to CompassCare early in September, having been advised by a her doctor to have an abortion. She and her husband were both in shock and unsure of what to do. They worried about providing a good life for their other child if they welcomed this new baby into their lives. Nearly two months after her initial appointment, Jessica responded to her nurse reaching out to follow-up. She reported that she and her husband had decided to continue the pregnancy instead of getting an abortion. Praise God for His heart-changing intervention. He truly transformed fear into confidence. Please continue to pray for Jessica and her baby to remain strong and healthy through her pregnancy and delivery.

"Lissy" is raising two small children and her living situation is unstable. The thought of having another baby is overwhelming to her. Although she currently plans to get an abortion, she's worried doing so would make her a "bad person." When Lissy saw her 8-week-old baby during the ultrasound, she said, "I don't feel the way I did with my other kids." She and her nurse worked together to create a list of resources which could be helpful to her. She listened to the gospel but did not feel ready to give her life to Christ. Please pray for Lissy's strength to be multiplied as she raises her children and considers how to move forward. Pray she has confidence in God's purposes for her and the baby growing inside of her. ------- "Moriah" suspected she was pregnant and came to CompassCare to confirm. When her nurse did that, tears welled up in her eyes and she said, "I don't want a baby. I have too much going on." She's raising a teenager, working full time, putting herself through school and buying a house. When discussing her pregnancy history, she mentioned losing a baby at 39 weeks. She told her nurse she didn't want to talk about it. Her ultrasound showed her pregnancy was too early to confirm. Her nurse suggested she come in for a repeat ultrasound next week. When Moriah said she just wanted to get an abortion now, her nurse reminded her that CompassCare doesn't provide or refer for abortion. She walked out without concluding the appointment. Please pray for Moriah's heart and mind as she processes the news of her pregnancy and considers her next steps. Pray she perceives the unique value of this child and chooses to continue her pregnancy. ------- When "Miah" learned she was pregnant, she called her doctor who told her to call a local abortionist. That abortionist told her to go to Planned Parenthood. Miah got in her car determined to get an abortion. She did a hasty Google search and followed directions on her phone, arriving at CompassCare. Realizing her error, she decided to go inside anyway. In the exam room, she told her nurse she feels she's too old to have a baby. She's raising a 13-year-old. The father of the baby is pressuring her to keep the baby, but she said childcare is too expensive and they have other financial strains right now. She was shocked to hear her baby's heartbeat on the ultrasound. When her nurse talked with her about God bringing her to CompassCare for a reason, Miah said, "I do have a relationship with God, which makes this a hard decision." She plans to return in one week. Please pray for Miah to have confidence that the Lord will provide all she needs to carry this pregnancy to term. ------ UPDATE/Praise: "Jasmine" (raising 2 children, baby's father has 2 other children, new to area) returned for a follow-up appointment saying she decided to continue her pregnancy. "God had another plan," Jasmine said, referring to the day she went to the abortionist and was referred to CompassCare instead. The father of the baby was with her and was fascinated viewing his baby on the ultrasound. "We're still hoping for a boy, but we'll be happy either way," Jasmine said. Praise God for His miraculous intervention, sparing the life of this child and changing the hearts of these parents. Please continue to pray for Jasmine and the father of the baby, that they would build their lives on Christ the solid rock.

Praise Report: My dad, Bruce Tucker, has been battling cancer for a couple of years. He was just told he is in remission! When we saw him yesterday, he looked as though a heavy burden had been lifted, and it brought such joy to our hearts. We are praising our amazing God! Thank you, Saints, for your prayers!
