"Hannah" is pregnant for the first time and told her nurse, "I want to get an abortion done and over with, like, yesterday." She and her boyfriend never wanted kids and agree abortion is the best choice for them. Her pregnancy was too early to be confirmed via ultrasound. She had difficulty accepting the idea that it is inadvisable to undergo an abortion without confirmation of pregnancy. She reiterated her desire to get an abortion immediately and gave no indication she feels conflicted about the decision. She did listen to the gospel but showed no interest in conversing about Christ. She scheduled a return appointment. Please pray for Hannah, who is overwhelmed and fearful. Pray God helps her slow down and consider the path before her. -------- UPDATE: Thank you for praying for "Alicia". She came to the office to request her records and told her nurse she changed her mind: she plans to carry to term! "I prayed and I feel peace about it," she said. Praise God for giving Alicia the courage to say no to abortion! She will return for another ultrasound soon. Please continue to pray for her as she makes decisions for herself and her baby.

UPDATE on Bethany M.: She reports her knee surgery went well and she came home the next day and is doing well, Praise the Lord! However, she asks prayer for her friend Cindy, whose son Billy found his wife dead this morning. She was on an antibiotic for an infection, but was otherwise healthy (and only about 50 years old), so the death is a shock. Praise God they are all Christians, but please pray for the Lord's comfort and grace for the family as they deal with this sudden loss.

"Cindy" is a Muslim college student who feels she isn't ready to raise a child. She told her nurse her parents would be upset and judge her for being pregnant outside of marriage. "But, abortion is also against my religion," she said. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm via ultrasound so she agreed to return in a week for another appointment. She was open to hearing the gospel and allowed her nurse to pray for her. Please pray for Cindy to have courage and for her family to be supportive of her. Pray for God to reveal Himself to her personally. -------- Please also pray for "Yasmine", who has been a CompassCare patient in the past and ended her pregnancy through abortion. "I regret it," she told her nurse. "God will punish me for what I did." She is overwhelmed with shame, not wanting to tell anyone she is pregnant again, including the father. She also worries telling her employer about the pregnancy will effect her job. Yasmine considers herself a Christian and her nurse prayed with her, which she was thankful for. She plans to return in one week. Please pray for Yasmine to encounter the love of Christ and turn to the scriptures where she can find the hope and clarity she needs. Pray for her nurse as she ministers to her in the coming days.
