"Christine" is a young mother of two who recently went to Planned Parenthood for an abortion. However, before she entered the building a sidewalk advocate talked with her and suggested she go to CompassCare instead. Upon arrival at CompassCare, Christine explained the tensions in her life causing her to consider abortion. She is in recovery from addiction and struggles with anxiety. She lives with her mother but describes the relationship as toxic. She is also concerned about having complications with another pregnancy based on previous experiences. While the father of the baby wants her to continue the pregnancy, she has doubts. Her ultrasound revealed a five-week-old baby. Her nurse suggested taking time to consider her decision over the next few weeks. When they discussed her relationship with God, Christine agreed with her nurse that things happen for a reason and said she has been contemplating her faith recently. Please pray for God to reveal Himself to Christine and surround her with His peace that passes understanding. Please pray for Christine to have the courage to protect and nurture the life within her despite her challenges. -------- Praise Reports: Thank you for your faithful prayers on behalf of women seriously considering abortion and their preborn sons and daughters. In some cases, it takes time for women to finalize their decision to continue their pregnancy. Read these updates and be encouraged! "Rae" came to CompassCare in December shortly after the father of her children died by suicide. At the time, she was fifteen weeks pregnant and her father was pressuring her to get an abortion. Rae was devastated and overwhelmed. Rae admitted she was feeling angry with God. Her nurse ministered to her with the hope and grace of Jesus Christ. For a month, her nurse was unsuccessful in reaching Rae. To her surprise and delight, she was finally able to make contact and Rae was still pregnant. When she returned for another appointment, her mother was with her. Rae explained that she could not in good conscience move forward with an abortion due to how developed her baby was. Her mother will be supporting her in parenting this new child and her toddler. -------- "Iyla" came to CompassCare in December considering abortion. She was unsure if she could manage parenting two children with very little support. She and her nurse talked about possibilities for her future and worked to find resources to fill gaps in her support system. When her nurse reached out to her, Iyla informed her she had decided to continue her pregnancy. She was connected with a MotherCare mentor who will walk with her through her pregnancy and beyond. -------- "Morgan" had her first appointment in October. She was raised in a Christian, pro-life home. At the time when she became pregnant, she considered herself pro-choice. However, when her boyfriend began pressuring her to get an abortion, she found herself feeling conflicted. She was deeply impacted by hearing her baby's heartbeat, saying "I can't get an abortion now." However, she was not sure how to navigate her relationship with her family and boyfriend. The pressures of her life and tensions in her heart left her still at risk for abortion. When her nurse followed up with her, she reported that her parents were more supportive of her than she expected. Morgan plans to parent her child and continue her education with help from her family.

Hi my wonderful brothers and sisters at Koinonia! One of the things that has touched my heart the most in this walk with the LORD is every once in awhile He will bring back to memory something that had hurt me long ago but I had forgotten. I said it was not that big a deal but the LORD remembered and helped me heal it. I said LORD You are the only one who knew that. I did not tell anyone but yes, it did hurt a lot and thank you for remembering! So that happened this morning. I was very concerned that being homeless I was not getting enough of the WORD of GOD with churches closed, no street services etc! So this morning the LORD goes, "think of a pastor"; I did. He says, "O.K. That's the Word of GOD right there. He has dedicated his life to GOD and followed Me all these years. That is the living WORD; the same with all your brothers and sisters on the internet who pray for you year after year - that is the living WORD! So if no one has told you today they love you, let me tell you I love you and thank you for being the living WORD of GOD in my life! GOD richly bless you!

UPDATE on Kevin: His physical condition continues to deteriorate, and his doctors have told him he is also suffering from severe depression and PTSD. He is in continuous pain and unable to sleep well. Because of his failing liver and pancreas and kidneys the doctors are having a hard time finding medication that he could safely take to help him. We appreciate your prayers on his behalf!

A very good friend of mine “Sue” was just diagnosed with a very rare lung tumor. On a scale of 1-10 she was told it is probably a 4 or 5.  It is not aggressive, but should be dealt with sooner rather than later.  Her doctor feels the chances of getting this under control are very high. She has several appointments coming up to discuss treatment options… I’m asking for prayer for her and her husband… She is not born again but she does know the Lord. Please keep her in prayer as she battles this diagnosis. Thank you️

"Ruby" is in her late thirties and pregnant for the first time. "I don't see myself as a mom," she said. "I don't like babies." She seemed conflicted throughout the appointment and had many concerns. Ruby was affected emotionally by hearing her eight-week-old baby's heartbeat but did not want a picture of her baby. She talked with her nurse extensively about her internal tensions. Both she and her husband have medical concerns including chronic pain. Both also share a concern that their difficult childhoods could keep them from being successful parents. However, Ruby went on to say she considers herself a Christian and her faith says abortion is wrong. "It's not fair to the baby to kill it," she said. "I think maybe I could be a good mom." Ruby declined making a second appointment. While she feels conflicted, she stated she is going to look into getting an abortion. Please pray for Ruby, her child and her husband. Pray for the truths Ruby knows to lead her decision making and for God's healing presence in their lives. -------- "Lacey" is a woman in her mid-twenties who describes herself as a gangbanger. She came to her appointment with a lump on her forehead, explaining she was in an altercation the night before. She is pregnant and raising a toddler with her mother's help. Although she said she plans to get an abortion, Lacey was glad to hear the fetal heartbeat and wanted a picture. She did not seem to feel conflicted about ending the life of her child, even as she listened to the beating heart. She has a history of two abortions. When her nurse asked her about her feelings, she said, "It's better not to feel." She went on to explain that the man she is in a relationship with is not the father of this baby and he would be angry if he knew she cheated. When presented with the gospel, she said she considers herself a Hebrew and doesn't believe in Jesus. "Thanks for your services," she said. "I didn't want to go to Planned Parenthood. I'll leave you a good review." Please pray for Lacey and both of her children: her toddler and preborn child. Pray for God to intervene miraculously in their lives to bring life, hope and freedom. Please also pray for her nurse to continue to find strength in the Lord as she ministers to Lacey.

UPDATE on friend Joann: She was released from the hospital, PTL!, but in a weakened condition from Covid, so please pray for her strengthening to be able to walk and not need the wheelchair. Also, continue to pray for the Lord's comfort and guidance as she deals with her husband's death, and for her salvation. Thank you!
