"Janice" is in her forties and felt embarrassed when she found out she is pregnant. She's considering abortion because her other child is a teenager and she does not want to "start over." She's also worried her age could put her at risk for a less healthy pregnancy. After seeing her eight-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen and talking about the health risks of abortion, she said she needs to really think about her decision. She has a history of three abortions and feels this situation might be different. The father of the baby wants her to continue the pregnancy and they plan to get married.
Her nurse gave her a referral for a high risk OB and talked with her about Christ. Janice said, "I'm a Christian, but I like to be in control." She allowed her nurse to pray for her. Please pray for God to give Janice the courage to continue this pregnancy and trust Him fully despite any challenges she may face. --------
"Mia" is a teenager who is pregnant for the third time. She is raising her first child and recently got an abortion during her second pregnancy. She is pregnant by the same man who told her to get an abortion last time. "I don't think I can keep this baby," she told her nurse. She explained she is trying to graduate high school and move on to college. After seeing her eight-week-old baby on ultrasound, she said, "Wow, is that the heartbeat?" She listened carefully as the nurse outlined the risks of abortion and agreed it was reasonable to take a week to think about her decision. When discussing spiritual matters, she says she believes in God and recently encountered Him in her life. Please pray Mia would pause and consider the value of the life growing inside her. Pray for God to protect this child and give Mia courage to parent.

"India" is considering abortion because she fears she is too old to have a healthy pregnancy. When she saw her seven-week-old baby's heartbeat and learned her possible due date, she was deeply affected.
India told her nurse she would have support if she chose to parent her child and prays to God for guidance. "I don't want to kill my baby," she said. Please pray for India as she vacillates between choosing life and death. Pray for her to draw near to God in a new way and for Him to give her the confidence she needs to protect her baby's life. -------- "Belinda" is raising a toddler and considering abortion. She lost a baby at six months gestation due to a genetic defect. She is pregnant again by the same man and fears the genetic defect could manifest a second time, causing her to endure a second traumatic loss. She thinks abortion could be a less painful route to take. Belinda has a history of two other abortions, which puts her at a greater risk for choosing abortion again. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm, so she scheduled a return appointment for next week. Please pray for Belinda to take refuge in the Lord during this uncertain time. Pray for God to give her supernatural courage and for the father of the baby to partner with her in protecting the life of their baby, no matter what.

UPDATE on Carm: He was moved yesterday to ICU in order to provide better forced air oxygenation (not available in the rooms), but the doctor said he is doing well and ordered him a liquid diet for today, which is a good sign. I talked to him and he sounded good. Please keep praying for his recovery. Thank you.
