UPDATE from Pastor Dom and Rescue & Revive Team: "Police are very corrupt in Kenya. Tribal nepotism is a big problem. Money is the motivation in Kenya. On the positive the people overall are beautiful. Very kind and humble, they love the "Mazungu" white man. They are hungry for God's word. We are focused on giving them the Word. Kisumu, Lord willing, will be our homebase for RRM in Kenya. Thank you for the prayers." Please pray for their continued health and safety as they fly back to the States from Nairobi.

CompassCare

"Bria" returned to CompassCare, having been a patient in the past. She was crying throughout most of her appointment, saying she needs to get an abortion. She said she does not want to have a child with father of the baby, although he wants her to continue the pregnancy. Others in her life support her plans to abort. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm via ultrasound. Bria tearfully confessed she has gotten an abortion before and feels guilty about it. She decided to schedule a return appointment for another ultrasound. Bria did not surrender her life to Christ when she heard the gospel, but did allow her nurse to pray for her. Please pray for Bria to lay hold of the freedom and forgiveness available to her in Christ and for her to begin a new life with her child. -------- "Sharon" is pregnant but she has never been sure if she wants to be a mother, and is currently working a physically intensive job with long hours. She is worried a pregnancy could effect her ability to work. She was shocked to see her eighteen-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen. "I don't have many options now," she said. She began to cry and put her head down. The father of the baby was present and said, "It's her decision." When her nurse shared with her about Christ, Sharon said, "God is good, but He gives us what we deserve." She allowed her nurse to pray for her and ask God for help. Please pray for Sharon to have the courage to continue this pregnancy and either choose to parent or make an adoption plan. Pray for her to seek God's guidance and sense His love for her. -------- "Serena" is in her early forties and is considering getting her third abortion. She feels her age, health and mental health are not ideal for pregnancy. She's also processing the recent loss of her father and is moving her mother in with her. Her pregnancy was unable to be confirmed and she scheduled a return appointment. She allowed her nurse to pray for her. Please pray for Serena during this strenuous time in her life. Pray for God to place His hand of protection on her baby and for her nurse as she ministers to her in her next appointment. -------- UPDATE: "Gabby" returned to CompassCare for a follow-up appointment and told her nurse she scheduled an abortion. She admitted it is wrong and spoke about her faith. Having had several previous abortions, she was very self condemning in her speech. Her nurse talked with her about God's love for her and His grace available to her. Gabby feels there are red flags in her relationship with the father of the baby which could lead to patterns from her childhood repeating themselves. "I have to do this for myself," she said, indicating she is still determined to get an abortion. However, the viability of her pregnancy is still unconfirmed and she agreed to come back to CompassCare before her abortion appointment. She's also connected with a MotherCare mentor who met her for coffee. Please pray for the voice of the accuser to be silenced in Gabby's life. Pray for God's truth to triumph over lies and for Gabby's fears to be transformed into confidence.

Pastor Tony

Please pray for recovery & healing, and pain control for Tania, who had reconstructive surgery yesterday, and who also deals with a painful leg condition following a past injury necessitating surgery. ------- Colleen C. asks prayer for the proper treatment of pathology found on a recent test, and also for direction in the Lord in serving Him. -------- Pray for Brenda C., a sweet Christian sister, who had surgery and has now begun radiation treatments for cancer. ------- UPDATE on Mike G.: He is seeking a second opinion about having intestinal surgery. He continues to battle kidney stones, pancreatitis, and a lack of strength in his legs preventing him from using a walker or wheelchair. Let's keep praying for him and his wife.
